   We chose Masseria East because of the many 5 star reviews in all categories. We knew it was pricey but for my birthday dinner, we thought we'd splurge a bit. We were warmly welcomed as we arrived. The host wanted to give us a table all the way in the rear, in a little alcove type space but there was a perfectly good table right across from the bar, so we took that. Our alcoholic drinks were fine. We ordered the scallops with artichokes for an appetizer, which were very good and a generous portion. For the pasta we ordered linguini al vongole, very good, and the restaurant split it up for my husband and I to share. For Entrees we ordered veal scallopine (very good) and my husband and I shared a generous portion of Coniglio, or rabbit. Very rare to find rabbit on the menu. It was made cacciatore style but was very under-seasoned––bland even, though the meat itself was tender. Very disappointing. We shared apple streudel (good!) and had coffee. Meanwhile, our water glasses were never refilled, and while the restaurant nicely split the pasta for us, they brought it at the same time as the entrees; and while they served me a portion of the duck, they never brought another plate for my husband and he had to remove his pasta bowl to utilize the dinner plate underneath, which was awkward, and we didn't have a lot of room on the table for all those plates. So services was definitely lacking. Food was overpriced but portions generous; generally good except the rabbit. We liked the ambience and restaurant itself, but we expected better for this 5 star reviewed restaurant.

   Our group of 6 enjoyed a sumptuous meal celebrating my sister’s birthday. We had drinks, many courses and shared salads, mains and desserts. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waiter was very efficient, friendly and professional. I look forward to returning for another fabulous meal

   This is a gem of a restaurant. I took my friend for her 80th Birthday lunch. It was delicious and special. We ordered one salad, one pasta, veal, and tiramisu. They were wonderful about separating it in the kitchen. So we got to taste a lot and the half portions were the perfect size since we ordered a lot. They let us sit and talk as long as we liked. I highly recommend it but it was fairly expensive.

   We've been there with our grandkids, the food was very good, they let us sit at a quiet table; the service was outstanding and friendly.. we enjoyed being there, definitely going to visit again..

   A beautiful restaurant. Service was professional and perfect. Food was outstanding and easily on par with the original on W 48th St. We loved our dinner!

   Service was friendly but dinner was rushed. Servers cleared plates during courses without asking if we were finished. They wanted the table cleared for next patrons so check arrived before we finished dessert. For that price it was disappointing

    Masseria East never disappoints. The lemon sole special was outstanding as was the pasta bolognese. Service is very attentive.
