We arranged to meet some friends we really enjoy at this new restaurant we found on-line. We looked forward to experience a new place with great friends we do not see often enough. We love East Indian food and we were looking for a new restaurant that does not use MSG., and could offer something for everyone. Two of us were vegan. Upon entering the restaurant, it seemed a little "cafeteria-like", more suited for a buffet lunch crowd. Not a great ambiance I thought and almost empty. The service was prompt and very courteous as they showed us to a table right next to a foursome! We politely asked it we could be seated a table farther which was fine. They appeared unsure if they could substitute dairy with coconut milk in chai or other dishes containing dairy. We ordered our appetizers which were good. Then someone else came to take our order for the main entrees. After long good chats, the first server came to take our order again, maybe close to an hour later. We were surprised and told her that someone had already taken it a long time ago. We were told that that had not been the case, so we gave our order again. Our food came not too long after that. We have normal healthy appetites and when the food came we all thought the portions to share between the four of us were somewhat small. It tasted good but certainly not the best East Indian fare we have ever had. What we found most disappointing was the Naan bread! We do not think it was made there. It looked like a round dimpled flat bread that was barely warm. We were expecting real Naan, large stretched out dough, piping hot with real garlic! Where is their sense of pride and authenticity we thought, in serving this poor excuse for Naan, we would never serve guests in our own home! When asked about desserts, the thrill was gone and we asked for the bill. The cook came to ask us what we thought of the food. As polite Canadians, we told him, not too emphatically, that the food was good.

They serve Naan Bread purchased from Costco. Very unpleasant and definitely not a good Indian Restaurant
