Food was good - bit pricey. Table was in corner so no visibility on show.

We came in this restaurant and ordered food. We made a request for our meat to be well done, which the waiter responded like it was a out of the world request. Our starters were served with our main dishes. Food was served within five minutes of our arrivel. Starter was an pumpkin fried dish, there was no pumpkin to be detected. It was not freshly fried. All in all a very bad experiance.

The atmosphere and the staff of the restaurant were ok. I'm really disappointed by the quality of the food. Really poor quality for the value. I would not recommend it.

lovely food (a main and a rice filled me up), good service and both the live singer and the live belly dancer were charming, sexy and hugely entertaining

Sadly this experience didn’t live up to the Maroush reputation. The food was very poor quality and for what was paid it was a very small amount of meat. It was quite frankly embarrassing to take our guests there.

Excellent service, we were able to take our table early and food arrived quickly and was tasty. I chose 2 starters (falafel and batata harra) as a main washed down with a Beirut beer. The singer was very good and the crowd participation if you like that sort of thing. Good seating space downstairs and although not cheap represents fairly good value

I am Lebanese. I understand the food. This has to be the absolute worst I’ve ever eaten. From the cucumber and yogurt salad which is a bowl of soup with scant limp cucumber shards to the vine leaf and unidentifiable stuffed squash combination. Horrible. The entree floats in tepid sauce? Water and spice I expect. The vine leaves and squash were so far past their edible stage that the rice had lost any semblance of a grain and become a congealed blob. The squash was just greenish gray slime. The‘basement’ dining room is reminiscent of an at home illegal 1972 disco. Twinkle lights strung in the wall. Old metal chairs. Erratic tables. If you had that as a party room in your own basement you would have gutted it years ago. I did not eat the entree or the cucumber salad/soup. I ate the kibbie and the meat pies. I paid near 50 pounds for this meal. Unconscious of the food going back I got a good? yes? and a check. Let the diner beware. As a side note, not out of spite but courtesy, the cook behind the front counter where you enter and wait needs to be made aware of the “plumbers crack” he flashes every time he bends over.
