   A hidden gem in Zihuatenejo. We went twice in one week it was so good. Venus was a great host and waiter and Augustin made the BEST table-side salsa.

   We had high expectations for this restaurant, especially since it was advertised as being part of a Michelin-starred Restaurant. However, we later discovered that the Michelin star applies to the hotel, Casa Que Canta, not the restaurant itself. It was a bit misleading, especially since both the restaurant and the menu prominently advertise the Michelin star. While the service was decent, it didn’t live up to the level of fine dining we expected, particularly in a destination like Zihuatanejo, known for its excellent culinary scene. The staff did their best to manage the busy environment, but they couldn’t provide the level of attention we were hoping for. Additionally, the seating was disappointing. Instead of enjoying a view of the stunning Zihuatanejo Bay, we were placed at a table facing the hotel and other diners, which felt less than ideal. It seemed as though we were squeezed into a corner, and the overall atmosphere didn’t match the caliber we were anticipating.

   Siendo un lugar que conozco desde los años 80 pero que no había regresado en 30 años quise tener la experiencia a pesar de haber leído algunos comentarios no tan buenos en otras plataformas donde decían que solo la vista era fabulosa , pero nada que ver todo fue espectacular tienen bien ganada la estrella Michelin, servicio, comida, vino, vistas todo fue excelente!!! regresaré cada año a este magnífico lugar

   While the facility is magnificent, we were less than impressed with the food. My meal, pork tacos and chocolate fondant for dessert were good, my wife's shrimp linguine was terrible. The shrimp were very small and the pasta was way too overcooked. The wait staff were very good. Cost of meal was exorbitant. We would not go back again. +

    Everything was wonderful- food, service, drinks, and the up-close view of the bay in Zihuatanejo is spectacular. We’ll definitely dine there again next year. There isn’t any signage for Mar y Cielo, but it is the restaurant that is a part of La Casa Que Canta, and it is best to take a taxi to get there.
