The Dungeon bar which is an continuation of the restaurant The Grill at the Castle and boasts a capacity of up to 100 people, depending on the type of event. The Dungeon bar offers various types of setup - ranging from low lounge seating, through to dining seating or casual setup. It is available for semi-private booking between 10 and 40 people or full private booking from 50 to 100 people. Dungeon Bar also broadcasts all major sporting events and also feature various drink and food offers.

I want to start by saying the staff were amazing and the waiter we had (American guy) very attentive and professional. Unfortunately the kitchen was not up to much. They were extremely slow, and it took an hour between being served drinks, to the food arriving. I assumed when you pay €40 for a steak dish, the quality would be at least acceptable. The 12oz grilled steak was not as advertised. It was the size of a pork chop and had clearly been pan fried. The beef dripping chips were like skinny Fries bathed in oil. It was very dissapointing. Not much choice for desert. My partner could not eat her parfait as she said it was disgusting. Also I had a whiskey that was advertised as €11 per shot, and when the bill arrived it was listed as €18. I couldn't be bothered disputing this, and the waiter was extremely nice so I paid and left. If you want steak, go elsewhere. The worst steak I've ever had and extremely over priced. This is just the experience I had.

The most relaxing restaurant in Dalkey/Killiney. Would highly recommend. Delicious food as always; varied menu with choice for all dietary requirements. Customer service is excellent; staff are attentive, everything runs smoothly and they dont rush you out. Manager really looked after us and made my mother's birthday very special. Thanks to the Manager and Staff at the Mapas for a really enjoyable evening.

Save bet on a Saturday night. Good food, great service and some live music. Mapas is prob one of the best restaurants in Dalkey/Killiney. Esp since they have a new chef! Recommended

I want to compliment the Mapas staff who were mostly very young but exceptional. They were all very friendly, helpful & efficient. The food was excellent & all in all it was a lovely Mother's Day experience. I will be back, thank you!

The decor, lighting and atmosphere in the room is lovely. Food and service also good. The open kitchen meant the smells of cooking where quite strong. But overall, impressed with Mapas.

Super quick service from two friendly young men. Manager came to our table too to see if all was ok. Staff were highly trained and it was nice to see a lady chef too ! Looking forward to next time….

Lovely celebration dinner for my husbands birthday. Food delicious, very friendly and well trained staff, service excellent and didn’t feel rushed which is my biggest peeve in almost every other restaurant in the locality.
