About this restaurant

An interactive dining experience from Michelin-starred chef Joshua Gil, Maison Kasai is an elevated teppanyaki restaurant that combines French and Japanese techniques with culinary virtuosity and a touch of performance art. Chefs prepare each course to order on large iron grills, cooking blini to serve with caviar, searing lobster with Normandy butter and vin jaune from France, preparing A5 Wagyu sukiyaki-style, and finishing elegant sauces — all as you watch. Created exclusively for Level 8 by Gil, whose Beverly Hills restaurant Mírame has received widespread critical acclaim, Maison Kasai is a gastronomic experience and theatrical event in one.

Please note that we are an Adults Only (21+) establishment after 9:00 PM. Parking validation is available.

For parties of 8 or more guests, please email reservations@level8dtla.com.

We came on time but had to wait 1 hour to be seated because thenother party was late. Ambience is the best but the food is way too salty. Saw many reviews saying the same thing of salty food, hopefully rhe management listens

Ambiance was nice, table experience was fun. But service was lacking, the server messed up our drink order, then they missed a course of our prefix menu and when bringing it up to the server he said he would check on it (even pulled up the menu and showed him) then he proceeded to ignored us the rest of the evening and never came back until it was time to pay. Was a fun experience but not worth the price and would not return

Great place to eat. Food was amazing. Bartender made a killer old fashion. We did come here before the laker game and had a hard out but would go back!

The ambience was great, of course. The food was decent, over seasoned. Service from waiter was an all time zero, I should’ve just went to nobu or Tao

I had reservations for my wife’s birthday I got a call from the restaurant saying something happened and that they are not going to open up at all so they have to cancel the reservation and they offered me a 20% discount for the next time I dine there which was ok I guess but then I get an email saying thank you for letting us know you won’t be able to make it to your reservation indicating that I canceled the reservation which was not the case
