   This was the first time eating at this establishment. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Great portions. I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

   Our Lunch Bunch group met today at Main Street Bistro. I made the reservation online and requested that we be seated at the back of the restaurant. Our request was granted, and we had a lovely experience with delicious food. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

   Entree was great. We had chicken Marsala over mashed potatoes. Plenty for 2. The appetizer of fried green tomatoes was disappointing for the price. The remoulade crab topping was more like crab salad on the tomato. The cornmeal crust was a bit flavorless and just fell off. Need signs for the back bar area. People kept getting lost. The house salad was just ok, honey balsalmic dressing was way too thick and didn’t pour out easily. Lots of potential with a few tweaks it could be all around great.

   We have been to Main Street Bistro several times. This was by far one of the worst experiences we have had. We waited well over 2 hours for our food and it was cold and not very appealing. I understand that V day could be challenging for the kitchen etc but they were not taking walk ins, reservations only and should have been able to manage the preparation of the food more timely and hot especially for the price per couple. I never leave reviews but it was very underwhelming.

   Reservation at 5:30. Seated immediately. Order taken and dinner (one entree, split between my wife and me) served promptly. Chicken was dry/stringy. Rice good; squash fair; spinach fair. Only 3 dessert selections. We placed a dessert order at 6:00. 25 minutes later, the waitress advised us that the kitchen was "behind", but our order (a slice of Red Velvet cake) should be delivered very shortly. Within 5 minutes, a worker from the kitchen delivered the relatively small slice of cake. The cake was the best part of the meal. [30 minutes to slice and deliver the dessert?] The cost was $38 (not counting the tip). Overall, the experience was marginal. We could have received a better meal at half the price at several other restaurants.

    We had a great experience here. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious! I had the crab cakes. I would definitely go back, and also would recommend Main Street Bistro to friends.
