RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Magnolia’s on King offers Southern Immersion Cuisine in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. A contemporary twist on classics and new dishes sure to be favorites, our cuisine offers locally and sustainably sourced seasonal ingredients. Currently we offer dinner service Tuesday through Saturday, as well as Brunch Saturday and Sunday.

The Palm Lounge, our second floor craft cocktail experience, features comfortable seating, seasonally lit fireplace and a cozy space to enjoy one of our specialty cocktails including our signature Magnolia’s Old Fashioned while enjoying our full menu offerings. We also have beautiful spaces available for private events from 14 to 50 guests.

For $30 entrees, the food was extraordinarily meh. The pork grits were flavorful but just swimming in oil. The Cajun mushroom pasta was just not good. Tasted like liquid smoke mixed with cream of mushroom soup. I had a few bites and just couldn’t eat any more of it. To add to that, 20% auto gratuity added to a party of two. Just a very disappointing experience. $100 down the drain….

Amazing!!! The service, food and ambiance are wonderful. This has become a favorite restaurant and experience I enjoy sharing with family and friends. Magnolia’s on King never disappoints. Love, love, love this restaurant!

Not much choice for a vegetarian, only plain black coffee available for brunch. Food and service were both good but not noteworthy in either direction. Probably won't eat there again.

Fantastic food and atmosphere! Some of the best southern brunch I’ve had in the DMV area. Service was lacking though…took forever to order drinks and food (food came quickly once ordered though!), and the server did not refill our water at all or ask us how we would like the bill (we were 3 couples all at one table so it was not ideal to have to split everything up ourselves). Would go back but maybe ask to sit in a different section

For the most part, great experience. The minuses were 3 items I ordered off the menu they didn’t have. And this was within an hour of them opening on a Sunday. Loss of points. But I understand everyone has an off day so I would consider going there again.

Waitresses where nice as heck, but they were not as prompt. It got extremely chilly at one time and because the facility is so small, ambience could be better. It wouldn't take that much to enhance. The food was delicious.

Had a wonderful time there! We tried their deviled eggs and bacon wrapped dates from their regular menu. I learned that I didn't like dates but the bacon encasing them were divine. Deviled eggs were a perfect savory and sweet dish thanks to the candied bacon. I was saddened that they had changed one of their Valentine's Day special entrees to ribs instead of a filet mignon from when I reviewed their menu in early Feb, but the ribs were delicious and only had a small amount of barbecue sauce on it to start. A larger portion cup accompanied it so individuals can increase the sauciness if they desired. This was a great sized half rack. It would have been great if one of the pre-selected salads was a super green type salad with only hearty greens like kale, arugula, and spinach though. The server was kind enough to actively listen to our discussion of our order and actually brought out the food we intended to take home accordingly throughout the night (ex. one of the salads at start and one of the desserts at end) . I would definitely say that there was a great value with the food choices on the Valentine's menu and the price for one person. I hope we will visit them again at least one more time this year and definitely a contender for Valentine's days dinners in the future!!
