   One of my favorite dining places to go to when looking for excellent, quality food and service. I particularly like the patio in the evening with the string lights.

   Always a great experience. Dan, Summer and Madison went above and beyond. Surf and turf and swordfish specials were outstanding.

   We booked a table for two for Valentine’s Day this year. We had never been to Madison’s and thought we’d try something local. After looking through the menu online we decided it sounded like a good spot for us. Upon arrival we were told they didn’t have our reservation, and then they proceeded to sit us at the bar top as a last ditch effort. Myself nor my fiancé drink so we didn’t feel comfortable there and asked to move considering we could see about 10 open tables in the dining room area. They proceeded to sit us by the window where there was a huge draft so we had to keep our coats on the entire time. Our reservation was for 8:15 which we were 10 minutes early and by 9:30 we still hadn’t received our food. We ordered two Caesar salads and they came out fairly quickly, but our waitress took probably 20 minutes to come ask us if we were ready to order our food. Upon our inspection of the menu we realized that they had done a condensed menu for Valentine’s Day and inflated the prices greatly. We were extremely disappointed in this because we were not told that when we made a reservation and never given a heads up. Still, we went ahead and ordered the $40 steak they offered once we finally got the chance. After waiting 45 minutes of waiting on our steaks we finally called our server over and said we’d like to leave because the whole experience was awful. She then had the nerve to ask us if we wanted her to box up the steaks so we could take them home and warm them up. But we would still be paying for them of course. To that I said absolutely not, no one in their right mind warms up a steak and eats it. So we asked for the check for the two salads and finally left at 945 with no food after being there for 1.5 hours. I couldn’t believe how rude they were and how completely unwanted they made us feel. Will not be recommending to anyone I know or giving a second chance.

   I was disappointed to read such an exaggerated and false account of your dining experience. You chose to sit by the window, with your coat off, while drinking your alcoholic beverage. Yes, I agree, you did wait 40 minutes for your ribeyes to come out of the kitchen. And I apologized for taking more time than expected after you told me, "I'm not paying for that."    We discovered Madison’s at this time last year when our son was in the Jazz Band competition at Pendleton HS. When we realized that he would be performing on Valentine’s Day this year, we made a reservation right away. Our server was new. We were only his second table of the night (ever?). Although he seemed a bit nervous, he did a wonderful job. He was very attentive. He was able to give recommendations and answer my questions. My husband had the ribeye that was cooked medium rare to perfection. I had the vegetable curry which was delicious. We do not visit Pendleton often but we plan on visiting more often to dine at this wonderful establishment.

    Always love Madison’s... but special occasions like Valentine’s Day , it’s even more special. Chef Dan had a special menu this year and our group loved it. The baked brie, beet salad, lobster bisque and Beef Wellington was my choice followed by an incredible chocolate torte.
