We are excited to offer our most anticipated and beloved event of the year—Maddie Hatter's Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea Experience, taking place on May 10 and 11, 2025. Designed to honour the incredible women in our lives, this magical celebration is the perfect way to show love, appreciation, and create lasting memories in a truly enchanting setting. The experience begins with a fresh and vibrant salad starter, followed by our signature three-tier Afternoon Tea stand, thoughtfully prepared to delight the senses. The first tier features a selection of savoury bites including dainty finger sandwiches and warm, flavourful creations crafted to perfection. The second tier offers our beloved freshly baked homemade scone, paired with rich Devon cream and luscious jam—simple pleasures that elevate the tradition. The third tier tempts with a beautiful array of house-made sweets and desserts, each one artfully created to charm and satisfy. To accompany this indulgent spread, guests may choose from 25 varieties of our premium loose-leaf teas, served in delicate china teacups that add a timeless elegance to the occasion. To make the day even more special, we invite guests to add on a Mimosa Toast, (chilled Prosecco and fresh orange juice) to raise a glass in celebration. This exclusive Mother’s Day event is available by on-line reservation only, with three 90-minute seating times offered each day at 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:30 PM (seating times are firm and cannot be extended). Event pricing is $60 per adult and $30 per child (10 and under), with all taxes and gratuities included. As this is a limited-seating event, pre-payment on-line is required, and reservations are non-refundable. Food Restrictions – While we are able to accommodate a vegetarian menu (please note at time of reservation), gluten-free, nut-free, vegan or dairy-free options are not available for this event.

Great service. Our server was amazing. She was very friendly. Reason for me giving it a 4 star and not 5 is because of someone being rude. They close at 4 and there were still 10 minutes left. I went with my niece and daughter. My neice and daughter were still sitting at the table. I went to the washroom one last time. A lady came out from the back (not sure if the chef or the owner of the place) and asked our server if everyone left. She said no not yet. Just one more table. And that lady made a huge sound saying “aghhhhhh” clearly showing how frustrated she is and it was not even time for them to close yet. That was very rude and unprofessional I like the place and ive been there a few times now but this was very rude

I have eaten at this restaurant many time and have never been disappointed. I have taken my great grandson who is 18 there many times over the past few years and it is the only place he wants to go. If you want a wonderful experience excellent food and friendly service you couldn't make a better choice.

Lovely quaint tea shop. Good food. Nice place for lunch or a cup of tea. Reasonable prices. Will return.

My daughter and I had a delicious lunch with tasty soup, marvellous quiche, and delicious Devon cream scones. This was topped off by 2 pots of tea and delightful conversation in a relaxed atmosphere with excellent service.
