   The food was good, as was the atmosphere, and although the service was a bit slow, it was worth the wait.

   Service was very slow. Had to wait ages for drinks and waitress seemed a little confused. Hopefully this was just because she was new. We were always happy with the service before. Food was liked by everyone.

   Lovely lunch. Vegetarian burger VG as we’re the Lamb burgers. The Greek salad was lovely, but the Greek fries was a meal in itself. I’d like a larger choice of lighter / smaller bites, we just don’t eat as much these days!

   Mackenzie’s was a terrific find! Travel two hours from Barrow in Furness to get mail from Menwith Hill base and stopped for lunch. Owner even asked if Americans would be interested if Mackenzies were to offer a Thanksgiving dinner menu. That’s thinking about your customers!

   Very poor choice on the menu. Nothing that you could call a hot meal other than pizza or a lasagna which was obviously reheated and burnt crusty around the edges! I’m sorry, but it was a real disappointment. The apology on the menu about the lack of staff was not sufficient as you are out in the countryside and finding alternative dining facilities would be well nigh impossible at 1.30pm! However, the scones and cream were delicious!

    It was unfortunate that the restaurant was having to provide a reduced menu which was quite limited. The quality of the food we ordered was good, and there was plenty of it. The device was rather slow but the staff were pleasant and friendly.
