Situated in leafy Lower Assendon, Luscombes is the perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner with friends & family. Voted 'best Sunday lunch' 2013 for South of England by The Observer & a Michelin recommended restaurant for the last 6 years, the atmosphere is relaxed but the food & service excellent. Chef-patron Stephen Luscombe is passionate about locally sourced produce and his menu features classic British dishes like duck breast with pearl barley; saddle of spring lamb with gnocchi; and chicken liver parfait with coriander toast. For dessert, don’t miss the chocolate fondant with a melting caramel centre – a real treat for chocoholics! With friendly service and an excellent wine list on offer too, Luscombes never fails to impress.

Lovely quiet supper after the Coronavirus scared everyone away! Great food though lacking in atmosphere due to a lack of other diners. Will go again as food was delicious and we had very attentive service.

Lovely food, great service & still the best chips EVER! A couple of the items we ordered were no longer available, but it was all dealt with extremely well. Will definitely be back here again!

I have introduced this venue to two friends who love it as much as I do. Sharon is a very hardworking, friendly hostess. Food tasty and fairly priced.

Overpriced soup (for tiny amount) Excellent squid. Intermittent service (had to get up and find waitress even to get the bill)

Really good food in a great location.very friendly staff and attentive service. Excellent outside eating with chickens wandering around. Ideal place to take little ones to see the rabbits, guinea pigs and different types of chicken.
