We had reservations for Thursday for a party of 8 through OpenTable. My friend arrived first and sat down at our table. The hostess had to make sure she was with our party but confirmed it. They still have yet to check off my reservation through OpenTable though. I did dine there, I have the photos and a receipt to prove it. We were greeted by our server, Danny, who was really great throughout the evening. He mentioned that the house sangria was included in the OC Restaurant Week prix fixe but failed to tell us if we were able to sub out the sangria for something else. I had to ask after we had already ordered a few cocktails and was told that we could not. I had the A La Noche martini while Sean C. had the El Rey and Mari H. had the spicy margarita. My friend Grace C. can't drink at all and is allergic to alcohol asked for a virgin margarita. She also had to pay $6 for her virgin drink even though she can't have the alcohol in the sangria. It's at best a $6 lemonade spritzer. I find that kind of tacky since alcoholic beverages clearly cost more to make but I understand they have to charge for a substitution. I find it offensive that it was a $6 lemonade though. Once we finished our cocktails, we had to ask for the sangrias to be brought out, seeing as it was included in our prix fixe after all. He almost forgot to bring them for the people who hadn't had them yet. The house sangria tasted like iced mulled wine. It was sweet and had hints of cinnamon. Our table was brought some amazing homemade tortilla chips and bland salsa. We asked if they had anything spicier and Danny brought us this habanero salsa which was bright orange and amazing. Despite the tres leches being alcoholic, I enjoyed that as well. For the most part, our service was fantastic. There were a few minor hiccups that dampened our meal, but you can't really beat a $20 prix fixe menu. 3.5 stars.

When we walked in the hostess had her child sitting at the hostess stand. I had a reservation and we were led to a wobbly table in the corner away from the action. The furniture in the restaurant was cheap and unimpressive. The chips were not good. They were soggy and crunchy at the same time with a lot of oil residue on them. The salsa was good but the bean dip was not. I hot the chicken enchiladas suizas and they were very good. Good, unique taste. The food took too long to come out of the kitchen, though, and the waiter would be absent for long periods of time. I just felt like this place doesn't try hard enough to impress its customers and it certainly doesn't live up to the prices it charges. The place looks fancy from the outside, but actually dining there is a rather lackluster and disappointing experience.

Hip, fun, exciting vibe when my girlfriend and I walked in. Dimly lit, with Spanish guitar music playing and everyone chattering, creating privacy via a wall of sound. We were seated right next to a glass wall, the only table that close to it, and on the other side was a kitchen setup, decorated with Dia de los Muertos skeletons everywhere. Our host explained that along with their regular menu, there was a special 3 item menu ($8/each - $20/all) to order from, with that food being prepared by Chef Cloyce Martin. He is 14 years old, and was on the tv show 'Man vs. Child: Chef Showdown' where he battled Kutsi's own Chef Chris Tzorin. The kitchen setup we were seated next to was just for Chef Cloyce to do his thing in. We surmised it must be their popup kitchen to accommodate hot talent. We were excited. Our server, Quest (sp?) was jovial and 'on' the whole time, just super helpful and attentive. Chef Cloyce personally brought out and explained each of his dishes and was way charming. When he would prepare desserts, he would turn off his kitchen lights before flambéing and create a huge flame coming off his pan. Dinner and a show! - And we had the best seats. The fried shrimp was perfect. My girlfriend says the chorizo cake was a little too greasy, I disagree, I thought it was delicious. The ice cream dessert was sweet and warm, those flambéed plantains and berry whipped cream were oh-my-god. Think tapas plates (menu refers to them as 'bocadillo'). We also ordered street tacos, chorizo clams and fried goat cheese from the regular menu, $8-$10 each. These items were fantastic as well. The sweet, mildly tangy goat cheese, the chewy clam meat attached to the shell (that's how you know it's good, right?) swimming in sauce, the oozing spicy taco flavors - a delightful feast. Definetly want to dine there again, especially on one of their live music nights.

I did not expect much from Luna Kutsi based off the images online, but after going in and actually tasting the food, it was absolutely wonderful! They had the best tasting chips I have ever had and I have had my fair share. The vibes of the restaurant were on the same level of restaurants like Katsuya--good ambience, and friendly, special occasion vibes. Overall loved my experience and the Bocadillo chef was a great cook as well. What a surprise to see a 14 year old cook such a delectable meal!

Apparently, one of the waiter or bartender had an asthma attack on this evening and perhaps that explains the poor service. But the food did not come out correctly and was frankly disappointing. We understand the place can be much better so we would likely try again but this was not a good experience.

Service was excellent and food delicious. Only complaint was noise level-very loud - but there was a birthday group right next to us with 20 guests. Maybe next time it'll be quieter. Anyway we had fun and plan to return soon.

We dined before the Santa Ana Art Walk (1st Saturday of each month) -- arriving at 6:00 p.m. the place was fairly empty. We got great service (greeting by the hostess, bus boy delivered chips right away, and the waitress was attentive). Ordered pork tacos and fish tacos, along with queso fundido. The PORK TACOS WERE FANTASTIC: Crispy tender carnitas served in flavorful double tortillas. The fish tacos however were a bit tasteless and doughy (too much batter). The queso fundido was embarrassing, since my husband had never tried it and I love it at OTHER restaurants (the cheddar cheese mixture was separated into oil and glop...I think it needs a bit of flour and stirring while heating, otherwise this dish will never "come together"). Chips, salsa and beans were good (house-made, you can tell), and our Margaritas were delicious and a bit heavy-handed on the alcohol content. Our waitress disappeared just after our food arrived, since she seemed to be the only bartender in the place (which was now becoming busy). So, we lost service! When we finally flagged down the hostess to ask for a second round of drinks, instead of taking our order, she simply waved to the bartender/waitress and made her come over to talk with us. We ordered two more margaritas.....but she only brought one to the table and served my husband, forcing me to wait 3 more minutes to get MY drink ?????? We'll probably try this place again to see how they do...but I'm not overly confident they could ever score a "5" for food OR service. The place is ok; clean, and does a fair amount of business daily.

My mom and I really enjoyed our evening at Luna Kutsi the other day. The craft cocktails were amazingly delicious and creative. My taco and the quesadilla my mom had were tasty and filling. We couldn't even finish the quesadilla. These were all items on the Happy Hour menu so in addition to yummy eats, the price was right! Highly recommend Luna Kutsi for a lovely evening on the cutest walk street in Santa Ana!

Excellent! I made reservations for my husbands birthday after seeing this new restaurant while dining next door. Loved the look of the place and the outdoor dining area. This place was great! Friendly, professional staff, great cocktails and most of all, delicious, perfectly prepared food, all beautifully presented. We were a party of four and tried a variety of appetizers, entrees and cocktails. We all agreed that everything was delicious! Our waiter, Anton, was excellent! Professional, friendly, attentive and informative. He brought us a beautiful lemon dessert, without a fuss, for my husbands birthday. Perfect!
