   We spent $62 at Lucca's today, but it wasn't enough. Sorry to have to share the amount but it is relevant to the review. We ate a meal each (2), and had 4 drinks. We were asked to vacate our seats by a rude bartender so "other" people could eat. We had finished our drinks 5 minutes prior. We often go to Lucca's and eat in the bar to watch sports. There was no one behind our chairs, no one waiting behind us. The gentleman next to us had not ordered any food the entire time we were there and had only ordered one beer which he was drinking very slowly. Which is his right. Other customers had also not ordered food next to us. The one mistake we made was being honest and closing out our bil,l and let the staff know we were watching the last 8 minutes of the game, and were not ordering another drink. I don't know how much they charge by the minute to sit in the seats at the bar. After they asked us to vacate the seats when we shared we wanted to watch the end of the game, I let the bartender know that I did not feel welcome at Lucca's and did not feel they wanted our future business. She really hurt our feelings as we give them frequent business. They should let customers know what the drink and food minimum is per minute so that they don't have to ask people to leave. That is just rude to ask customers who just spent $62 to vacate their seats after 5 minutes of not ordering more.

   Second time eating here and had the chowder and fish tacos. Splendid. Lovely place. We will be back.

   This is a nice restaurant but the food was average. Dinning on the sidewalk was ok but better than inside.

   This is typically our favorite spot. But something has changed with the food. It's not horrible but definitely not as good as it used to be. Plus they raised the prices. Not a good combo.

   We liked the outside seating. Decent beer selection and the bacon wrapped meatloaf was outstanding. Got to enjoy Idlewild West's music later in the beer garden. We live an hour away, but would return here. Downtown Benicia and the waterfront is very nice.

   The restaurant was boisterously noisy and the bar was excessively loud. The one bartender had to handle a full bar of people, the restaurant, and our table in the bar. So service was quite slow, not his fault. Drinks and food were good and Benicia was a quaint town.

   The food was great! And our server was good. We did have to wait for a few things. But overall great place.

    To be fair, we only had the brunch menu options and didn't have many choices. There was also a really big loud group. We couldn't hear eac other. The wait staff were friendly and competent.
