   Went for birthday dinner with my husband. The ambiance upon entry was great. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall the food was made with high quality ingredients and fresh but truly lacks flavor or seasoning. The cheese plate for appetizer was nice... the ground mustard and pickled veggies were enjoyable. The burger was cooked well and had fresh ingredients but lacked any flavor or seasonings. Just very bland The fish tacos looked great upon arrival... and mind you I was hungry and finished them. But also very bland. The were wet from the fresh salsa and the cod used lacked seasoning and flavor. Again it was very fresh as it fell apart but lacked flavor Overall I want to try to give them another shot... maybe next just for breakfast

   LO is a casual place that we love for breakfast & lunch. This was Valentines dinner & they put in the effort to decorate and had a fantastic guitarist-romantic! The food here is always great & runs the gamut from beef to seafood to vegan. The staff dressed up (more than most diners-comfy sweaters predominated, a few men in sport coats & women in pretty dresses) And the owner stopped by to make sure everything was fine. Scallops were amazing! A 5 course meal with coffee or tea for $70 on Valentines Day is a major bargain. Especially given the high quality of the ingredients and range of choices. And it’s BYOB.

   We have been many times, but never before for Valentine's Day.. what a treat! 5 course meal, each one better than the last. A joy. Great service and atmosphere. Just wish it weren't 40+ minutes from home... I recommend it to all...

   This dinner was a special Valentine's Day menu. All courses were scrumptious. The beet soup was extraordinary as were our entrees (one of us ordered scallops and one of us ordered the vegetarian tofu) and cheesecake. We drive nearly one hour to go to Lovin' Oven because their menu items as well as the atmosphere and service are that excellent. Thank you for yet another memorable, joyous meal.

   It has been some time since we were to Lovin' Oven for dinner. In the past, we enjoyed brunch there but were not wowed by dinner. But it was one of those nights when we did not feel like driving too far and so, we decided to give it another go. We are glad that we did. One of us enjoyed a veggie based meal and while it was tasty, but it could have been better if the polenta was more firm and they had informed us of a change in one of the items we ordered. Specifically, I wish they would have told us that the arugula that was in the description was not available and would be substituted with spinach. Mind you, while we may like spinach it is disappointing when you wanted the taste of arugula. The other person in are party is quite a fussy person. He liked his Bulgogi and he who says things are 'OK" said this was "good." Other than the food, the servers are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is very 1970's Moosewood hippie cafe (which I love). The deserts are outstanding. Perhaps they can do something about the seats as they are really hard on your bottom unless you have lots of padding. We will be back to try some other items on their new menu.

   We have been going to Lovin’ Oven for years! Love the place! Literally ate breakfast there last Monday and made the reservation for dinner with a group of eight the following Saturday. We didn’t realize it was restaurant week, what a great deal! We are usually there for breakfast but every now and then, we’ll come for dinner. I can’t wait to sign up for a class!!!!

   Always enjoy when we get to Lovin Oven, the staff is so friendly, food is terrific and I love the eclectic decor. We met up with another couple who had never been and the 4 of us had a nice evening with good food, service, and we weren't rushed at all. We also attended during restaurant week, which we didn't realize, and were able to get a great deal on our meals.

   We love Lovin’ Oven! Usually we enjoy breakfast & brunch here, but wanted to visit for a special Frenchtown Restaurant Week menu. The 3-course fixed price menu did not disappoint! My husband enjoyed the kale Caesar, Baja fish tacos and almond bread pudding. I loved my beet salad that was perfectly dressed, Angel’s bolognese and peanut butter pie. SO GOOD. OMG the desserts were heavenly! Service was friendly, quick & attentive. Super nice date night <3

    It was a lovely New Year’s location complete with gypsy jazz band and festive ambience and great meal. Special occasion or not, it’s always a great experience.
