   Sunday lunch was perfect - not too stodgy and good quality ingredients. Such a beautiful garden to sit in. If I were local this would be my go to for Sunday lunch.

   From arrival to departure, the attention to our comfort and enjoyment was unstinting. Friendly barman, who made excellent cocktails and very welcoming Maitre D' who oversaw the food service (and knew everything about the dishes - 8-course tasting menu, veggie and non-veggie). A panoply of tastes, textures and beautifully-presented dishes unfolded, each building on, and contrasting beautifully with its predecessor. Flavours abounded and surprised the palate at each turn, yet everything tasted 'as it should'. My highlight was the red mullet in a 'nage' of rhubarb and lovage oil, yet nothing could be faulted. A visit by the sous-chef who toasted marshmallow lollipops at the table and served a variety of chocolate fancies capped the dining experience. As did the fine port which the Maitre D' proposed to end the evening. Wonderful.

   Anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. It was beautiful. I took a star off for ambience as it was a touch on the old fashioned traditional dining for me, ie a bit quiet and formal. But really high class in terms of venue, food and service. Prices are fully in line or even a shade over London which I felt was a little much but not enough to spoil the evening.

   Except for the setting and ambiance, the restaurant about average for its price. Hence the three stars out of five.

   Absolutely stunning experience, from start to finish the service was out of this world thank you so much, the chicken for the main course was with out doubt the best bit of chicken I’ve ever eaten:0)

   We had one of the most delicious dining experiences we have ever enjoyed. The chef, Charles Smith, is truly a cuisine genius. Everyone of the courses in the tasting menu was a trbute to his creativity and subtle mixture of ingredients. We could not believe his sophistication at the age of 29 and we wish him a wonderful future career. Separately I’d like to address the initial welcome and bar experience which was not pleasant. When you enter the front door there is no apparent reception area; there is no one to greet or guide you. No one asked for our name or what kind of dinner reservation we had made. We stumbled around a few narrow hallways guided by sounds of conversation until we found the bar. The solo bartender was harried and overwhelmed and bar seating area completely filled. We were told to walk down the hall to another lounge where we enjoyed our cocktails. This was shared with another couple who were dressed in sloppy jeans and tshirts while we were attired in jackets for the men and dresses for the ladies. This initial lack of welcome and hospitality typified both times we have eaten at LOM in 2017 and 2019. We would recommend that the 2 different dining experiences be separated physically from the beginning of the evening starting with the greeting, bar drinks, and continuing through dinner. The disconnect in hospitality and service should be easily addressed and improved.
