Celebrating over 35 years of award winning classic & modern Italian cuisine! Owner Terry Antonelli believes in a warm and elegant approach to fine dining. Chef Walter Cotta shops at local farmer's and produce markets throughout the week to insure the best quality ingredients. Our pastas, raviolis, bread, sauces and desserts are homemade. His menu also includes a number of vegan and gluten free items that are sure to please all palates. For dinner or a private event, L'Opera is a must!

    Exceptional in every respect, truly good. Super fresh dishes up and down the menu, outstanding quality wine selection, attentive service and fine ambience. Highly recommend this superb Italian restaurant.

    Great food, and wine. Was happy that the menu was very well marked for vegetarian options, as well as vegan and gluten free. Live music was great, and was a very nice evening.

    Wonderful and top notch, again, at this valued venue, from the time we entered and were greeted promptly and graciously, to a genuine “Thank you for dining with us” when we left 2 hours later. The service was first rate — helpful, efficient, courteous and all without overdoing it. Our server Josh and busser couldn’t be more pleasant. The food was delicious, per usual and to the standard set at this fine restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday in a private fashion and were seated at a table for two in a quiet alcove. The special occasion was acknowledged by the server and the establishment in an understated fashion, which was much appreciated by us. Another very memorable visit to this reputable fine dining establishment. We will be back again.

    We lived in Italy for several years and can be picky about Italian food in the US. However the dishes here are authentic excellent even just basic Bruschetta is "accurate" and delicious. Bonus is the Indy car teams, and some drivers eat there Sunday night!!!

    We dine here every Saturday night during the Long Beach Grand Prix and we look forward to it every year! Always good food, great service, and a chance you get to see some celebrities like Mario Andretti at your next table.

    This is always a must for us on Grand Prix Friday night. Scott, our go to server, is always available with recommendations from the menu and great wine pairings to go with them. Do not miss L'Opera

    Amazing as always. This is an annual dining spot for us when in town for the Grand Prix Race. Nice to see many of the same staff over the years. Food is outstanding.
