Longfellow's Wayside Inn has been open since 1716, making it the oldest running Inn in the United States. Both lodging and dining are available for those visiting New England. There are two main dining rooms at Longfellow's Wayside Inn. The large main dining room features colonial decor and a fireplace for those chilly fall nights. The Tap Room, holding about 40 patrons, is more intimate and cozy. The menu at Longfellow's Wayside Inn features traditional New England-style dishes like prime rib, Boston schrod or the ever popular Wayside Inn lobster casserole. Clam chowder is a must-have when in the area, as well. The Inn also offers a gluten-free menu, as well as a children's menu. On weekends, enjoy breakfast before exploring the area.
