   Had a great time, the wine was lovely and plenty of choice. We had 2 meat platters which went well with the wines and in fairness we were like kids in a sweetshop trying all that we could.

   Loki wine is a hidden gem whether you wish to try an excellent wine selection and then make a purchase , book to be informed about what you drink or just to have a sit down stand up time as a couple or with friends. Independent, knowledgable and great service it's my stop when in Birmingham

   The wine dispensers have a good selection of wines. Loki is great if you want to try expensive wines for ridiculously low prices. Highly recommend.

   I had booked a table here as I was expecting to eat one of their platters as well as trying the wine. Unfortunately, upon my arrival I was informed there was no food available as their supplier was currently closed. I was disappointed that they have not updated this on OpenTable so that customers can be prewarned of the lack of food. Having said that, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, there was a good range of wines at reasonable prices and I would definitely go back. But will eat first!

   Started off well. Good set up for wine tasting with simple but tasty platters of cheese or meats. Unfortunately for us there was a business meeting in the next room, with only a curtain as a divider. Consequently we had to put up with them droning on and on whilst we were just trying to have a nice brunch with normal conversation. Should have a separate room for business meetings or, preferably, not have them at all. Has definitely put us off going again.

   We just love Loki and we don't spend anywhere near enough time there. Fabulous concept with great, knowledgable staff and wonderful wines.

   Really great wine shop. Lots of good wines to taste. Fantastic ambience and the staff were all very friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend!

   Loki is a great way to enjoy wine tasting with a wonderful ambience and knowledgable staff who are always willing to give advise. Great for a night out with family, friends or work colleagues.

    Loki is a wine merchant that has turned itself into a quirky wine tasting bar with food. Located in the Great Western Arcade in central Birmingham it is very convenient for business and medical professionals as well as shoppers and people like us celebrating a birthday. The points card system of paying for the wine and food also doubles as a means of selecting each glass of wine from the dispensing and display cabinets. Although my wife and I are experienced wine drinkers, what struck us about Loki was how informal, friendly and unthreatening it was for young people who didn't know much about wine. Each wine had an explanatory display label in front of the cabinet, helping you choose if you knew something about wine. But if you knew nothing about wine the ability to buy a glass not much more than a mouthful for a small cost meant that there was no risk trying something. If you were in a group and didn't like what you'd chosen, you could even swap the glass with a friend I guess. Wine was dispensed in three sizes, the largest being a typical glass. Wine was also available by the bottle, which you could drink in Loki for just a £5 corkage on top of the retail price. Brilliant concept. The service was excellent too, the best I've experienced in a wine bar or wine merchant.
