   The gnocchi with lobster was especially delicious. The service was very good. The only complaint is the noise level. However, we would definitely go back. We need to try the octopus.

   Long time since visiting the North End, and Little Sage was a fantastic reminder to come more often. The menu was more modern Italian than some others in the neighborhood, but flawlessly executed and graciously served. The chitarra pasta was perfectly al dente, and the ragu complex. The octopus was extremely tender and balanced with the richness of olive oil breadcrumbs and acidic sweet peppers. The fennel salad was clean, simple and fresh. Ended our meal w/ the basil panna cotta whose flavors mutated as it moved through the palate. Molto bene team!

   The food was very good - we had octopus and two pastas - but we barely saw our server, waited a very long time for water multiple times (including ten minutes at the start of our meal), very long time to place our order, very long time to receive and pay the bill. We felt forgotten. At prices like these, a higher, more responsive and even proactive level of service is expected.

   Well thought out menu. Portions were perfect and lovely flavors. We weren’t fans of the appetizer lamb skewers—Way too sweet. Octopus salad and fennel salads were perfect. I liked the light airy modern dining area,albeit very tight space once the dinner rush comes in. Lovely dining experience overall

   Service was spotty, restaurant is extremely noisy with tables close together and no “decor” to speak of (blank walls). Food was not as good as the original Sage restaurant - the pasta dishes we had were only so-so -and overpriced. Overall very disappointed and wouldn’t hurry to go back.

   The food was amazing. We started with flatbread and crudo. For dinner we had short rib and monk fish, both delicious. The reason for taking away stars is our server. She started off great - took our order and brought our drinks. But we didn’t see her again until after our dinner was cleared. She didn’t check on us to see how our food was and didn’t offer more drinks. We did appreciate the other staff who brought our food and refilled our water, but we were disappointed that our server was MIA.

   So delicious and a nice change from the many North End restaurants that all have the same basic Italian fare. Got the lamb skewers, clams and lobster gnocci all were fantastic!

   It’s a lovely little place. We got there at the 4:00 opening and things were quiet. By the time we left at 6:00, it was full and noisier. The food was very good, although the monkfish was a bit saltier than I like. The basil panacotta was unusual and delicious. The service was more attentive than is usual for Boston. And much appreciated.

    The food was excellent and so was the service and wine list. A bit on the noisy side but not so much that I would hesitate to return. It’s my new North End favorite!
