A family-owned and operated establishment, it uses recipes and dishes taken directly from the pages of the owners' family cookbooks. Made to be a reasonably priced spot for casual dining, Little Havana is family-friendly with options suited to all ages.

We have been here many times, and mostly, it's a good place for eating out with the family. Generally, the food's been good, the service good etc. We (8 of us) came here with friends visiting from Germany on a Friday night. These friends wanted to come here again, so we obliged. I called and they don't take reservations, but I could make them on Open Table, which I did. OT only allowed outside seating, which was fine since the evening was beautiful. First off, they didn't have the table set up. Totally understand that - happens sometimes. However, they had to set 3 together and they found a broken, extremely wobbly table which should have been removed ASAP. They discussed it a while and, in front of us all, they just set it up as one of our 3 tables. I went and touched it lightly and it wobbled crazily so they (finally) gave us a good table. Two other big tables were sat 15-20 min after we were. We ordered a pitcher of sangria and one of mojitos. The sangria was, no joke, water with canned fruit and a few drops of wine. Horrible!!! Mojitos were OK. One person got a Cuba libre-totally watered down also. Appetizers were good and freshly made and brought out. No complaints there. However, we must have waited a GOOD HOUR to be brought our dinner. The other 2 large tables were already finished with their MEALS by the time we got our meal!! Completely unacceptable. NO ONE came by during this waiting period to offer more drinks, bread, water, ice etc. Finally, the dinners come out....and they're completely lukewarm...the chicken that 2 of us got was like a rock, dry and hard. Just GROSS. I can't say enough bad things about the food this evening! And the service. By the time we were done, we were "done!" Took forever to get the check, because, again, nobody's checking on us. Really, really awful night. We took the leftovers home, but ended up throwing them out. Not hurrying back there!

Very busy/lively place for a Wednesday night. Servers quite busy and could not always get their attention when needed. Food was good (stuffed potato balls, roast pork, pork churrasco and fried chicken pieces) and come with black beans and rice, and sweet plantains, but tended to be a bit overcooked and dry. There was live/taped music that tended to make conversation difficult. Fine place to have an office party, though.

Great value, the food was descent. My only recommendation: be more careful when setting up tables while patrons are dining. The chairs & tables were dragged across the floor and it made an unusual amount of screeching noise that could be avoided by lifting each item. While in a conversation, it was hard to focus and enjoy the meal. This happened throughout the time we were there as the restaurant was setting up for large groups.

Based on reviews I read, I was expecting better quality food. The prices were moderate, portions huge but not very fresh or authentic. We had 2 kinds of empanadas, the beef was good. We also had the ham coquettes which were horrible. They are supposed to be bechemel but were dry and flour based. 3 of us had the special paella. While the portion was huge, the fish didn't seem fresh and the rice looked and tasted like it was either made separately or it was made in a big pot rather than a paella pan. 1 of us had the fried shrimp which were small and dry. I think ordering soup, salad and a grilled chicken dish would have been a better option.

This was our first time at Little Havana, but we will definitely return. The food was very good and plenty of it for a reasonable price. We ordered 6 different dishes and all sampled all of them and agreed they were all delicious. Service was very good, even though the restaurant was quite crowded. There was live music throughout most of the evening, which was a bit loud for my taste, but enjoyable and did add to the atmosphere.

Excellent food. Service was slow even though we went on the late side and the restaurant was not at all crowded. My main course was served lukewarm but they heated it up quickly.
