   We have eaten here before but it had been some time since our last visit. We elected to dine here tonight due to the availability of soft shell crabs. We called the restaurant to ensure this dish was available. Upon arrival we learned that the soft shell crab was not available. Ok. The staff apologized and offered a complimentary appetizer. The meal was excellent. On the arrival of our entrees the manager brought my wife the soft shell crab dish that was made from scratch. No charge. Awesome. And the taste was fantastic- best in Birmingham. Anyway, it is great to see that a restaurant cares about the patron. Kudos to the Chef. We will definitely be back soon. And by all means check this place out!

   This was our first visit to Little Betty. We were the first patrons of the night with a 4 pm reservation. Because there were only a few of us the noise level was not bad at all. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is very kind and friendly. We had excellent service. But the food was disappointing. 😔 We ordered focaccia bread to start. It was fresh and homemade but more like sandwich bread than traditional focaccia. We were given 5 small slices with olive oil for dipping. We had Caesar salads, a house specialty, which was good but unremarkable. One of us ordered the Cod which was outstanding. Two of us ordered steaks, a ribeye and NY strip, which were underwhelming. We paid close to $200 for the steaks alone and the cuts were not great. There was gristle on both and they were tough. If I’m paying a $100 for a steak, I want a well cut, well prepared steak. I was expecting a great deal more from the steaks than what we experienced. The sides were good. We had creamed spinach which was OK. It was a little too salty. And we ordered the Gouda fries with garlic aioli, another house specialty. The fries were our favorite that night. Highly recommend! The ambience and service are great, but the food was underwhelming. If I go back, I’ll sit at the bar and get the fries and a small plate. Not a remarkable meal for the price point.

   Great steaks - we all had the filets with truffle butter. So good! Get the Cacio y Pepe and Caesar salad to start and the carrot cake for dessert! You won’t regret it!

   Our dinner at Little Betty Steak Bar in Birmingham was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we were seated, Olivia set the tone for an exceptional evening. As our guest curator, she guided us through the wine list, helped select perfect starters, and crafted a full dining experience that felt both personal and elevated. Her expertise on the menu was impressive—every recommendation was a hit—and she made sure our table was cared for by the entire team. The filet was cooked to perfection, and the kitchen did an excellent job adjusting the rest of the courses to accommodate our guests’ dietary needs. We were dining with friends, and thanks to Olivia and the Little Betty team, it became a night we’ll all remember. If you’re visiting, ask for Olivia. You’ll be in expert hands.

   Best meal in Alabama! Incredible desserts and side dishes all the entrees I had have here especially the pastas are AMAZING! Also the staff are wonderful! Looking forward to returning already

   Our server, Gage, was amazing! He was very attentive and knowledgeable. Everything was timed perfectly, except for that our entrees felt a tad rushed but only because we were so slow eating and enjoying our apps! This was one of the best experiences we have ever had including the food, ambience, and service. We will definitely be back!

   The meals we ordered were insane delicious. Lobster pasta, crab cake (best ever had), cod and tiramisu all 10 out of 5! The service was phenomenal, also 10 out of 5! The hype about the dress code is ridiculous. From the website to the reminder when confirming the reservation (jackets preferred) to the phone call, VM requesting a call back to confirm a few hours prior with yer another reminder of the dress code. $80 deposit. We dress to impress only to see the waitstaff in jeans! JEANS!! The bar may be lax in the dress code department, however we witnessed some ‘daisy dukes’ denim short shorts and a halter top walk through the ‘jackets preferred’ dining area. Completely hypocritical and absurd. Not to mention some guy walking around wearing long white tails - something out of Alice in Wonderland. The food is amazing so I would recommend but I can assure you we won’t go back unless it’s for a carry-out.

   Tuna Veil was OUTSTANDING!!! A5 snow beef … meh ok, if we had not had A5 before in other places would be good but in comparison would not order again. Tiramisu delicious. Overall great experience and look forward to going back to try other entrees.
