Overlooking the Grand River, our space is a place to simply enjoy a good meal together.

Featuring Chef Chris Weimer, Linear is a modern American restaurant located downtown Grand Rapids. Expect artfully composed dishes, seasonal ingredients and rotating menus. We offer a full service bar with handmade cocktails, beer and wine lists.

Dinner features dishes made with only the freshest, high quality ingredients. The Wagyu Flank Steak is one of the most popular dishes, but we always have a decent amount of vegetarian options available.

Lunch is comprised of delicious salads and classic sandwiches such as the Grilled Brie & Cheddar, Muffaletta, and Roasted Turkey. We make fresh wraps each day for our Wagyu Flank Steak wrap which is a crowd pleaser. We also have entrees available such as our housemade cheesy Hemp Pasta and a Stir Fry Grain Bowl.

Brunch is available on Sat-Sun from 11am-3pm.

Reservation asked if it was a special occasion and it was, but there was no acknowledgement of it while we were there. No big deal really but why ask? Also exploding kombucha at the next table was exciting and handled well by the staff. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

So impressed with their post Covid-19 Service. They took my safety very seriously, I saw them disconnecting tabletops and chairs before every use, they also bring brand new menus to every table. Everyone wore masks and socially distanced throughout the experience. Well done, Linear.

It was like a first date again after the long shutdown. We had an outdoor table overlooking the river. Great meal. Jenna was a great server. Couldn't be more pleased.

Great atmosphere sitting outside along the river. Our server was fantastic, the cocktails was great, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back again.

This was my first time here since they opened; the old menu did not appeal to me at all. They have a new menu and it has multiple items that caught me eye. I live downtown so I eat out 4-5 times a week. Linear is not what I call a downtown GR restaurant because it is a long walk to get there. Parking...not so good; I had to walk two blocks to get there after I parked. Once ride-shares start back up it will make it much easier. Salad was superb and they easily honored my request for all romaine. I had the beef stroganoff and it too was very good (provided me two meals). I kept room for the cherry bread pudding and I am so glad I did. I will be back. (Note: single guys, the place rocked with single gals!). 😁

Lovely setting north of downtown on the Grand River. Interesting menu with something for every taste. Good wine selection and signature cocktails. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Meal well prepared and delicious. Yummy desserts. Restaurant has adapted well to social distancing guidelines.
