   Incredibly disappointed with this restaurant. Far from representing a fine dining experience, the food was completely average. A fillet steak ordered medium rare was cooked medium and prawns were overdone. The service was poor, with my husband at one point having to enter the kitchen, where all the staff were chatting, to ask for another glass of wine. Despite these issues, the bill for four people came to over £200, on a 3 course set Father's Day menu, when we had had 2 glasses of wine, soft drinks and actually, for the 2 children, asked for only 2 courses. I was surprised therefore to see that, on the bill, a tiny portion had been knocked off the set price menu for the children's 2, rather than 3, courses. I certainly don't recommend this place, it is over-priced and represents poor value for money. You would be better off going to one of the excellent gastro pubs in the area.

   Had a great time Saturday , the service was great the staff were very accommodating and new how to have a laugh ! First time I’ve ever been to linden house and will definitely be back . STEAK WAS BANGING

   Went for a birthday meal with my son and daughter. Service and food was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

   I am afraid the service was terrible there, waited 20 minutes for first drink order and each order after that was either by going to the bar or repeatedly having to remind staff that we had ordered but not received items. Didn’t get cutlery- had to go inside to get my own. The bill had other items on it. Food was lovely but overall very disappointed.

   Staff were fab. Cocktails were delicious. I took a few business acquaintances for a quick after lunch drink, and we all had such a nice time, we stayed all evening. Will go again.

   Linden house has a wonderful feel, from the warm welcome to the excellent food it was a lovely experience. The menu is exciting but not overwhelming the food was perfect. A nice leisurely lunch in a lovely dining room, we will be back.

   Nice ambience! Staff have varying levels of experience which was very apparent on the night. Food was nice, but expensive.

    There really wasn’t much of an atmosphere. The waiter embarrassed me to begin with by offering us the wrong menu. I had requested the early evening menu when I booked as my 85 year old father needed to eat early. The food was ok.The salmon really wasn’t a meal, just a very small fillet. I can only explain the atmosphere as ‘odd’
