   This was one pf the top three dining experiences that I have ever had! This is amazing considering that the restaurant has been open for only a week.

   An absolutely incredible dining experience! Never had anything as exquisite as this. Starting in the garden was a lovely surprise and then moving into the main dining space and watching the kitchen and plating station was amazing. Finishing by the fire with tea was a lovely way to end the night. Everyone was so welcoming attentive to any need we could possibly have. We got to talk to and ask questions about our meals and anything else that came to mind. The food was incredible and we both left very satisfied. Even the plates and silverware were so fun to experience. Everything was meticulously selected for each dish and added to the experience. There were a few times the music was a little loud and made hearing the wait staff a little challenging but it wasn’t too bad. We also really loved getting a copy of the menu to take home at the end to remember the experience by. They even left us with hand written notes thanking us for joining. I often feel “one and done” with tasting experience restaurants so I can try new ones, but this is definitely one I’d love to come back to.

   Wow—what an unforgettable experience. We arrived at Lilo with high expectations, and somehow, they weren't just met—they were exceeded in every possible way. From the moment you step into the garden, you're transported. The atmosphere is a masterclass in understated serenity and elegance, setting the tone for what’s to come. The food? Incredible—as we hoped it would be. But what truly sets Lilo apart is that the dishes aren't just served, they're shared like stories. Each plate arrives with thoughtful insight into its ingredients, origin, preparation, and the accompanying sauce, transforming the meal into a deeply personal journey. The attention to detail by the staff is nothing short of extraordinary. Service is seamless, intuitive, and never intrusive. The team seems to anticipate your every need while preserving the intimacy of the experience. Small touches—like the change of cutlery between each course and the custom music playlist playing in the background on a reel-to-reel—reflect a pursuit of excellence that’s clearly woven into every element of Lilo. There’s no doubt in our minds: Lilo is on its way to becoming one of San Diego’s most desired dining destinations.

   If I could give it 100 stars I would. Completely blown away by the experience. The attention to every detail and each course was somehow better than the last. My favorite bites were the croustade of rock crab, the white asparagus turbot, the orgeat ice cream + ossetra caviar and the blackened banana with miso caramel. I loved the feel of the space—it’s gorgeous. The music was fun and it didn’t feel stiff or overly precious. Lastly, the open kitchen concept and having the chefs deliver each course helped to feel more connected to each dish. We loved it. Bravo.

   Amazing food, setting, and service. The setting is intimate, exclusive and beautiful - feel like you’ve been transported from North County to one of the most exclusive restaurant’s in Mexico City or Singapore.

   Wow. Over the top culinary and hospitality experience. Highly recommend. Our reservation was at 5pm, We were promptly seated by super friendly host in the garden. One of the staff walked us through the experience my wife and I were about to enjoy. The space is gorgeous, earthy and inviting. After enjoying a glass of wine and a few small bites in the garden we were seated at the counter for the main dining experience. 11 courses if I recall. Spectacular presentation and flavor profiles that were unique. We did a modified beverage pairing since we had to drive back to San Diego. we loved all the courses, the staff was on point with descriptions, ingredients and preparation details. Loved the music on the real to real, atmosphere was great. not to loud, but not quiet either. felt right to us. at the end of our tasting we enjoyed some tea in the garden and conversed with some other guests about their experience and which courses they loved the most. Lilo is foodie paradise. I equally appreciate great hospitality. The staff and culinary team nailed both. We will visit again for sure.

   LILO is a one of a kind tasting menu tucked into the back of Wildland in Carlsbad. The journey begins seated in the garden, leads to the 22 seat bar and ends back in the garden around a fire. Chefs prepare and serve the courses and explain in detail what you’re about to enjoy. The room is gorgeous and the chefs and staff are extremely attentive, polite and excited to share their knowledge. The food is unbelievably delicious and incredibly gorgeous. The plating, presentation and choreography are a show unto themselves. From the owners of Campfire, Jeune and Jolie and Wildland, Lilo (Lie Low) is definitely on track to become one of the most influential and exciting new restaurants in San Diego. Beverage pairings of alcohol and sans alcohol are available as well as an extensive wine list. This restaurant is beyond!!

    Lilo was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The intimate chef’s counter setup made it feel personal and immersive, and each course of the tasting menu was creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The attention to detail was next-level.
