   Really nice server. Unfortunately the food was horrible and not worth anywhere near the price.

   The chicken and waffles were amazing! The waffles were especially good. No complaints from us.

   The food was great and our bartender/ waiter was personable and made great suggestions. We did not realize it had such large TV screens for sports (though with sound off) which was a little distracting, but will be great when there is a game we want to catch. Friends loved the beer selection. Try the creme brulee!

   A friend had recommended that we try Lightning Will and we were not disappointed. They bill themselves as a Gastric Pub, which may be a little of a stretch, but otherwise a good find. The bartenders were friendly, helpful, and made some good recommendations. The food was fine. My burger was great, my wife's Menagie at Trois (tenderloin and dipping sauces) were ok but not particularly noteworthy. We also tried their Liquid Nitrogen Grilled Mousse, which comes in a very cold serving tray but was actually warm -- would not order again. I think their desire to be a gastric pub exceeds their ability to deliver at this time (or at least that night). In the back they have a pool table, foosball, shuffleboard, and several arcade and pinball games. Stayed around to drink more because of the latter. Overall would highly recommend the bar.

   The biggest pleasant surprise here is the gourmet quality, creativity, preparation, and presentation of the dishes. What appears to be a sports pub that could get rowdy on Timbers game nights, turned out to be a Portland foodie experience we weren't expecting. The peach caprese salad was outstanding and unique, as was the corn chowder served with salmon-wrapped prawns. The Menage Au Trois tenderloin steak bites were served Vegas-style so we could finish them to perfection on the hot brick, and the three sauces that give rise to the name of this dish made it fun and delicious. And those (like us) who love gourmet mac n cheese won't be disappointed with their version. The chocolate and 'nilla puddins were yummy too. We definitely want to return and try the 12 dollar burger (that's the name) complete with the egg , bacon, and cheese, which would make it a 15 dollar burger but we don't think we'll be disappointed. We'd recommend this diamond in the rough.
