The dinner was delicious and the setting very romantic for Valentine’s Day. Our server Morgan room excellent care of us.

We went to Libations for Mother’s Day ... with a reservation. It was not busy but we had terrible service. We ordered three waters and two came. The third came 10 minutes later. The half mimosas were $9.00 and mainly OJ. No one ever came back to ask if we wanted more drinks until we were almost done with our meal. My husband’s burger was raw in the middle. Their second attempt at a burger came back after all of our plates were cleared. They did take the burger off the bill but our experience overall was terrible. Won’t be going back there!

I never thought I would have to walk out of a place on Valentines Day, but now I have. We made reservations bc it seemed to be rated well and we wanted to try something new. The only reason for the second star is because our waitress, although new to serving, she was very sweet and attentive. Our walkout was based on the bartender. We both ordered cocktails and were shocked when they came to the table half empty. I ordered a simple old fashioned and it was presented in a standard tumbler glass full of ice but the liquid stopped at exactly half of the glass. Our other cocktail was a smoked speciality and came in a martini glass. Once again it was half full which, in a martini glass, means there’s likely less liquid than even half. We asked our waitress to inquire about the shallow pours and the bartender’s response was she uses an exact 1.5oz jigger and does not put extra liquor or water in the drinks. That’s right! Our $11 and $13 cocktails had 1.5oz of liquor, a dash of bitters and flavoring and that’s it. Not to mention I’ve never heard of water being added to specialty cocktails to make them full. Her answer seemed to add up to the exact level of the drinks but I’ve never seen such a dismal pour in my life. As for food, we only made it through a calamari appetizer. It was fried too long and had a sauce that tasted like lemon hollandaise, weird. We closed out and went to Essex for a much more memorable evening.

We were the only people eating in the restaurant on Saturday night. I don’t understand why the food took so long. The restaurant was freezing we wore our coats the whole time. The chicken kale soup was the star, very delicious however the Cobb salad had Canadian bacon (yuck) the burger ordered medium rare was well done. The drinks were unimpressive. The server was not very engaged. So disappointed as it was quite a challenge to get there with all the construction in the area.
