We are offering a special lunch and pre-theatre menu. £20 for 2 courses and £25 for 3 (plus service). It is an amazing bargain and ideal for pre-theatre bookings.

L'Escargot is London's oldest and most celebrated French restaurant serving classic French dishes. Favourite dishes include French onion soup, Lobster bisque, oysters, Tournedos "Rossini", Confit of Duck, Chateaubriand and of course snails ! L'Escargot was voted one of the most romantic restaurants in London and is a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or anniversary.

If you want to come in just for a drink, upstairs there is a great cocktail bar with reasonably priced cocktails and a bar snack menu.

The restaurant has welcomed celebrities such as Coco Chanel, Charles de Gaulle, Maurice Chevalier, Laurence Olivier, Lucien Freud and Francis Bacon. and was a favourite of Princess Diana

L'Escargot is located close to all the major West-End theatres, which makes it an excellent pre and post theatre dining spot.

                          The food is delicious, the menu is simple but very structured. The wine was superb. The piano bar adds to the atmosphere in a great way. I will be there again.

                          We chose to come to L’escargot for my partner’s birthday. We traveled from America to London to celebrate. The escargot, oysters and duck confit were out of this world. The service was impeccable. We were seated right by the front window and able to see all the passers by on the street. We weren’t rushed despite London feeling extremely busy and crowded right now. The ambiance in the restaurant was fantastic right down to the music they play in the background. The wine list was superb and at the end of the meal my partner was given a special birthday treat of the most delicious chocolates and a card wishing him a happy birthday from the staff. Overall a 5 star experience. We will be back for sure! Thank you!

                          What a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Soho, if you like French cuisine you will love this restaurant. Will definitely be returning

                          A nice place in a nice location. Food OK but taking price into account there are better value options close by.

                          The staff were helpful and friendly. I ordered medium cooked steak which was over-cooked. The lady changed another one for my table and that’s was perfectly cooked.

                          Booked for partner's birthday as a special occasion. Absolutely beautiful food, superbly presented. Excellent portion size, and served with just the right length of time between courses. The ambience was perfect for us: Quiet enough to have a conversation, but not so silent that it felt awkward. Service was efficient and friendly. Would most definitely come again for a special occasion.
