Our party of 6 were seated near the rear of the restaurant despite it being empty except for another table. For a Saturday night we were surprised at the lack of patrons. We started with the creole shrimp appetizer (which was the only palatable item we ordered) and the caprese salad (which was basically Costco's mozzarella cheese sliced with a few cherry tomatoes with a drizzle of Nona's balsamic dressing). Our main entrées were overpriced and poorly executed. We had the 12oz rib steak (very tough, lacked flavour, wasn't 12oz!) and was not worth $45. A Keg steak will seem like filet mignon in comparison to this cut. We also had the seafood risotto which was overly salty. The chef should taste all of the food before serving. For $49, it was outrageous for this quality. The bison pie was also lacking in flavor and the texture was really grainy. On top of this, we were charged an automatic 18% gratuity for no service! I don't recommend coming to this place. It is far from fine dining.

Drove from Parksville thinking this would be a special lunch. Overall, meh. Building needs serious upgrades. Menu very limited, struggled with service despite the fact there were 3 tables at lunch.

We were very disappointed in the buffet which was the only thing offered. Food was bland, macaroni tasted like flour, roast beefe was over cooked and tough. Service was just okay.

Nice location. Food was good. One complaint was the Heirloom tomato salad. There was no Heirloom tomato in sight. The salad was made with grocery store multi coloured grape tomatoes and standard grocery store mini boccancini likely purchased down the road at the Real Canadian Superstore Not up to the standard I would have expected from the description on the menu. Nice ocean front view, cedar wrapped salmon was good. A few of my companions had the French onion soup and loved it.

I had the Halibut which was very nice. My wife had the Salmon which was over cooked and dry with an excessive amount of Pasta. A beautiful view was marred by the windows being dirty.

The selection on the menu is limited. I thought the food was good but not exceptional. The portions in relation to the pricing has convinced me to not return to this establishment. The service however, was friendly and polite and of course the view is exceptional.

We were coming to that place for our wedding anniversary. We waited 10 minutes before a waitress came to sit us. They didn't even offer a glass of wine to apologize or for our anniversary. Then we waited another hour for the appetizers .... well just for 1 because the second one was lost... somewhere in the kitchen. The food is not very good. I wonder where the legend is ...
