LAVO Los Angeles is a 250-seat coastal Italian restaurant designed for an unparalleled, year-round alfresco dining experience. The restaurant offers an elevated indoor and outdoor dining experience while boasting a spacious sun-drenched dining room with a retractable roof, operable windows, and luxurious Italian furnishings throughout.

The kitchen is helmed by Chef Ralph Scamardella, whose menu balances dishes inspired by coastal southern Italy and influenced by Southern California produce while paying homage to LAVO’s signature Italian classics and his Italian-American background.

Service was slow. I asked the server for salt & pepper and she forgot, I had to ask someone else for it. They also did not refill waters and we had to ask for more water. Some of the ítems on the menú they had run out of so that was dissapointing

We finally had the chance to return back after somewhat off experience and all I can tell you is everyone was so great. It was one of the best experiences and everyone on staff was so wonderful. Casey, our server, took care of us from the get go so I want to thank him and his manager for a wonderful night.

I highly recommend LAVO . It’s very classy with high quality of service , food , nice selection of drinks and great management who paid attention to my name , came to introduce himself and brought us complimentary champagne. I liked noise level , its low and you can have a conversation with people around your table . Some other people celebrated special occasion I liked how server did cake part and what I noticed how they served on a fish it was kind of ritual, very cool . Will be back for sure We ordered beef carpaccio, Caesar salad , black truffle fries, black truffle pizza , octopus and 2 smoky cocktails and check was $250 for 3 wich is good for this class of restaurant

Food was mostly 8/10 Awesome breakfast, awesome desserts, chicken parm was really good, beet salad was so good, steak was so so…bottomless mimosas was great. Wait staff was 8/10 - our server Alex Was great. The manager Leo was a total loser. Did not like him. He did not accommodate us when we ask asked for a slightly larger table. We got sat at a small table considering we had 6 people and everyone else that had our table size was 2-3 people. There were 2 other round tables for 7 and only 1 table had 3 people joined by 3 more an hour later. The larger tables were available and sat empty for 2.5 hours. So yeh - the daytime manager Leo gets 0/10 from me. Dessert was great!!

Second time at this restaurant. I wasn’t impressed with the food this time - the overall vibe didn’t feel authentically Italian. The branzino was a 5 out of 10, the octopus didn’t taste fresh, and the presentation of the food was quite underwhelming. The experience was noticeably worse than my last visit some months ago. The check in process was incredibly slow and we had to wait long to be seated, but fortunately the staff at the table was excellent. The location remains a strong point.
