   The restaurant was just about empty at the lunch hour, so we picked a table near the window for a view of Third Street. The food was surprisingly delicious. Since the restaurant is connected to the Renaissance Hotel, I was expecting fairly average "hotel restaurant" food. We all got various salads and thought they were particularly good. It's a great place for a business lunch!

   I love to lunch at Latitude 41 when in downtown. The food is excellent the arrive is quick and efficient and I am always pleased. When I stay at the hotel I always eat dinner here as well

   We actually were trying to go to breakfast at another place and it was closed for renovations. I chose this place because they served breakfast and were closest to the other location. Sadly, the 15 minutes it took us to get from the other place we missed breakfast. We were unable to get in the front door until one of our other friends who was inside let us in. She told us the waiter was surly and told them they ‘were just going to have to wait’ for coffee. When told about the front door he said ‘well they can just walk around to the patio entrance.’ We could not as one of us had just had surgery and was about walked out. Overall the food was good and we helped ourselves to most things.

   We came for Sunday brunch before the theatre at 11am. All the food in chafing dishes was lukewarm at best. The only bacon in the pan was crisp crumbs. Mixed fruit was empty. Pineapple was as well. There was no one manning the grill for omelets. Dining room was nearly empty and Buffett is $18 for a very minimal buffet. Dining room is lovely and staff was good.

   This dinner was a complete disaster. Although we reserved using OpenTable 3 weeks in advance, when we arrived we were told the dining room was closed for a private event. Our only option was to eat in the bar with a very limited menu. In addition, the waiter didn't notice that a glass was cracked and when he sat it on the table, it broke sending beer and glass all over. I was wet and smelled of beer the rest of the night. The salad was fine but nothing special. I would give this place a pass.

   Arrived on time for our 10 am Mother’s Day reservation. First woman rudely told us that they were finishing breakfast service and brunch didn’t start until 11. When I showed her my confirmation she said if we wanted to sit, we would need to leave by 11. We spoke to manager who said we could stay but would have to wait until 11 to have food. He said he knew about the reservation and someone should have called to let us know of the problem but no one did. 20 minutes later they brought us drinks and then we sat. And sat. At 11 we were told we could go the buffet. The food was fair. Not a lot of selection. Surly waiter. Nasty hostess. There was no apology. There was no compensation for having us wait an hour for food. Will not be back.

    Dinner and service were great. We had the place nearly to ourselves, so we could actually converse. What a treat. Ambience left much to be desired for a Renaissance property. Still, I would return.
