   Took 2.5 hours to get our entree with no feedback from our server. Service from our arrival to departure was terrible. No one greeted us at the host arrival stand for 10 minutes. Our drink order was taken half hour after arrival. We ordered the same dish we had the previous week and it went from excellent to inedible. The pasta had an awful vinegar flavor. Was embarrassed to have recommended the restaurant and to have brought our friends there.

   Had an excellent experience. So happy there is new staff which provided superior food and service unlike previous administration. The ambience always was superb. Now the rest goes with it to offer a great experience.

   Good address in New London. The fish was great, the meat was average. Service was good, though a little "junior", and the atmosphere on the deck was pleasant, overlooking the golf.

   I was last in this restaurant about ten years ago. It had very good food. This recent visit was a disaster, from a ten-minute wait for a table when there was virtually no one in the place, to a litany of errors worthy of a Seinfeld episode. The menu was exceedingly spare with most items associated with fall/winter rather than spring/summer. Out of three offered soups du jour (clam chowder, beef stew, butternut squash), I chose the chowder. BIG MISTAKE! Brownish in color, thickened with flour, gummy, no discernible clams, filled with onions. Inedible! Another ordered a salad with grilled salmon on top. Half the salmon was raw on the inside: sent back to the kitchen to get a grilled shrimp substitute. Bibb lettuce salad with a tasteless dressing. Chicken Alfredo pizza with dried up chicken. Each person in the party had ordered two appetizers instead of entrées. We were asked in which order we wanted them served. Then the waiter delivered everyone at once. Ordered coffee. The coffee was served. I heard grunts on either side of me. "What's wrong," I asked. "Try yours!" was the reply. My black coffee was not hot, it was not lukewarm, it was totally and completely unheated. Then we asked for the bill. Twenty minutes later, the bill arrived. It included the rejected clam chowder and the coffee. We had to ask the waiter to have those charges removed. Twenty minutes later, the revised bill was delivered. "Sorry--computer problems." Then the host came over to the table. "I hope everything was fine." "No it wasn't" we responded and gave her an earful. The unprofessional take of the host was apparent. "Well, we had two waitresses call in sick and we were understaffed. We hope to do better next time!" There will not be a next time. This entire awful meal should have been comped, but that was beyond her understanding of what a competent host is supposed to do. Avoid this place like the plague!!!

   We usually have an incredible dining experience here. This particular evening the food was not up to par. The menu was limited and the meals were nothing special. This was very unfortunate as we have always looked forward to dining here. I'm hoping it was just an off night. Will try it again in the hopes they get back on track.

   There are not many quality restaurants in the area and LSCC is a nice club and has the ability to probably be the best restaurant in the area but the food is "nothing to write home about". I've been there twice in as many weeks and on both occasions, we were disappointed. The first time my sister and wife ordered the flatbread and they we terrible, no taste, the flatbread looked like it was previously frozen. The popovers they served were warm on the outside but cold on the inside. This weekend my wife and I went. I ordered fillet medium rare and after waiting more than I should have it came out medium well. I complained and they replaced it (complementary) with one "medium rare" within about 5 minutes. Not much taste and I don't know how to cook a MR steak and let it rest all within about 5-7 minutes. If I wasn't a member and had to meet my minimum, I probably wouldn't go back. I understand they have a new chef so I hope things will improve.

   Mothers Day buffet was nice...but, it was not presented in a special occasion way. No flowers, no decorations, just a white tablecloth with sparse offerings. A cold environment although sitting next to the fire was nice. I have had far better interesting food for much less money. Sorry. Wouldn't return maybe ever.

    My husband has a company golf membership so we use the required spending in the restaurant. We like the ambiance and the food is pretty good. I made a reservation for our family of 4 on a Saturday night to celebrate Mother's Day. The first available reservation was at 6:45 pm. Usually I book dinner earlier like 5 or 5:30 because I don't like to eat late and go to bed on a full stomach. We arrived early and had a cocktail at the bar, when we were seated I explained to our waitress that because it was later than I would normally book a reservation that we did not want to dine long but to get our order in and have our food come out rather quickly. Unfortunately the waitress said our ticket got lost in the kitchen and we ended up having to wait extra long for our food. They did comp our apps which was nice but it was disappointing after having explained about not wanting to eat late. Usually the service is good, not great, but good. The atmosphere is enjoyable and the food is good as well. Usually it's the service that is an issue, whether untrained wait staff or inexperienced.
