   Best Russian food in NJ. The classic Russian food you had at your grandma’s. Prices are decent. Definitely a place to go back to.

   my wife and I were looking for someplace new for dinner and discovered lada café. It seemed interesting so we actually drove about 40 minutes to get there and had the most amazing meal and wonderful warm and friendly experience you can have in any restaurant in the world. The food was awesome. We we tasted many dishes and loved everyone of them especially the veal schnitzel which was out of this world. Michael ’our server is a lovely caring young man who couldn’t do enough for us and everyone else in the restaurant. We will be frequenting lada café and can’t wait for our next meal. Run don’t walk...It is terrific!

   Thus is a great Russian restaurant with really good food at a great value. We had meat blitzes, borscht to start followed by delicious lamb kebab with a side of Kasha and beef stroganoff with red bliss potatoes. For desert we shared homemade Apple pie. Our waiter,Michael was an excellent server. Go to this restaurant, you will be glad you did.

    The food here is delicious. For appetizers my friend and I ordered the blini which was a savory crepe stuffed with seasoned ground beef, so good. We also had the dumpling soup. Meat dumplings wrapped in dough in a fresh herbed chicken broth. Reminded me of wonton soup, only better. For an entrée, my friend got the beef stroganoff, which looked very good (she said it was delicious) and I got the Filet of Swai, a very tasty whitefish, perfectly cooked. All of the food was wonderful. We were there at an off time on a weekday, so we were the only diners in there at the time and the chef did come out to talk to us. He was very personable. The only minor complaint I would have would be that there was a TV on with Russian programming. It was kind of loud and it is a small place. We asked for it to be turned down a bit and it was. Later it was Russian radio, she turned it up again. Overall a good experience. Highly recommend.
