   First time and wanted to try. Great menu options. I chose the Margarita pizza and salad. Neapolitan style pizza was excellent! Good ambience. Not rushed. I’ll go back !

   I wasn’t a fan of the order @ the counter and wait for the food to be delivered. Was looking for more of a traditional ordering from a server type experience since I was on a date. It was nice not having to leave a large tip on top of the price of food & drinks but having to go stand in line to order a salad, then a pizza & then dessert was not desirable. Food was ok. Obviously the pizza crust, pretzel bun & desserts were delicious considering the bakery element.

   I was extremely disappointed with the handling of my recent visit to La Briola! Granted it was an extra points night and the place was crowded but the staffs handling of the situation was horrible. Being greeted by a long line wasn’t unexpected, but I had a reservation from Open Table. There were only 2 people taking orders and one left after he took an order! Now we were down to one person, they called someone from in back to take orders. When we got to the register and were placing our order we were told they were out of all the specials for the evening, the roasted chicken, the salmon and several other options! This was only a little after 6! The register operator had no idea how the points were being credited and when asked who we saw about our reservation he looked at me blankly and asked “what reservation?” I explained that we had a reservation from Open Table for 6 at 6:15 he said he’d have to ask a manager. He never asked my name and then wanted to know if we were all there and what we wanted to eat! I had just finished placing my order, each one of us had ordered individually so we had the correct order! Very unprofessional and a little disappointing. I am at La Briola on a regular basis, have been going to the restaurant since it open in 2008, and the quality of the food and service is usually excellent, have even been to other events where everything was handled smoothly but this last encounter was anything but good.

   I am used to going to the location on Michigan Ave. Definitely very different atmosphere and service. This location is more self-serve (think Panera). Wasn’t anticipating but the food was still delicious. Ordered the Chicken Milanese Caesar Salad. It’s was very tasty and fulfilling. I recommend this location if you want something quick and tasty.

   Cafe service was excellent. The guy taking my order was very friendly, I appreciated being signed up for the rewards program. The bus boys were also very friendly and were great at helping keep our table clean as we went through our many dishes. Unfortunately the girl on the bakery side wasn’t in a very good mood and it showed. With so many options, we had a few questions before making our selections and she was obviously very annoyed. The food was very good, the desserts were just ok and so we thought overpriced. I would still recommend and return.

    We LOVE Labriola! Everything about it is perfect! We wish they'd open one in the Woodfield area. PLEASE open one near Woodfield!!!!!
