   Perfect choice for dining cautiously when you have no idea if the weather will be warm or cold. We got cold weather in May, and it was not going to be an outdoor dinner night. Was thankful we had a cabin booked. The food was as amazing as La Tour always is—nothing less that 5 star. The service was a bit lacking. We got the impression our waiter was in a rush at all times when he was with us. Though he was highly attentive, polite, helpful and good, it wasn’t the service I guess I’d expect from a $200+ meal for 2. Ive done a similar experience in Vail and had a dedicated server who was just really friendly, outgoing, chatty, etc. We felt like ours had 14 other tables to get to maybe?

   Service started off a bit slow, but definitely got better and attentive. Food was very good. The outdoor seating in the private structures was fun and unique.

   Maxwell big help with menu, spent 7 nights in vail 6 top end restaurants but La Tour was our favorite. We live in Boulder and have many fine restaurants but La Tour our Vail favorite

   We were celebrating our Anniversary and I requested flowers for the table and never happened, service was terrible, I asked the server for recommendations and he was not able to give me details of the menu, very inconsistent service and unprofessional, the server left all the plates in the table until the end even when we have finished long time ago, there is no music in the crystal cabin, WORST fine dining We ever had, and will not recommend it at all, waste of money. Not coming back again.

   Our Crystal Cabin was too cold (our friends 2 cabins were toasty, however). The Abraxas cocktail was too sweet (even though our friend’s was nice and tart, as expected). The Salmon was much too salty, but my wife’s Mushroom Wellington was excellent. Our server was friendly, but forgot about us after we received our Entrées, and another server eventually cleared our plates. We couldn’t order dessert or after-dinner cocktails, as it would have kept our friends waiting. We would not go back, but our friends had a pleasant experience.

   We ate outside in the crystal cabins which had their own adjustable heater. Such a beautiful setting and service was amazing. The food was exceptional and I can’t wait to go back.

    The “cabin” experience was great!! Very quaint, comfotable (heaters, etc) . Terrific service and food.
