   While its a long way from downtown (a $40 taxi ride each way) the garden setting at La Caverna was very nice. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to the setting. Beginning with the drinks: the Sangria didn't have any fruit, the Old Fashioned was so spicy I could hardly drink it and the Rum Dum was completely wrong. We requested a Caesar salad with anchovies on the side but of course it came to the table mixed in. The Tagliatelle alla Bolognese was so oily that it was repeating on my wife all night. I did however enjoy the Fetuccine Allo Scoglio but with the few bits of protein it was hardly worth the price. On the way back downtown we stopped at a frozen yogurt place which turned out to be the best part of the night.

   I just love Italian food and this restaurant is my new favorite spot. The food was very delightful! The waitress was very nice and ensured we were satisfied.

   Great experience here! Highly recommend!! We were on vacation staying at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and saw this place on Tripadvisor. Wish we would have found it sooner! Food was excellent! Service was prompt, friendly staff! We will definitely be back next time we are in Nassau!!

   Our server was wonderful - outgoing, jovial and just plan awesome. The food was tasty, but the meat (chicken) were a bit over-cooked. However, even though we didn’t mention it, the manager removed the meal from our bill because my daughter wasn’t able to finish her chicken as a result of the tough nature of it. THAT deserves a second shot. So, we’re headed back this weekend for a chance to sample some other items from the menu and bask in the awesome service once more. Definitely worth visiting!

   My friends and I have dinner monthly. We have dined at great restaurants and have been lucky to experience some fabulous meals. Upon arriving the restaurant was a bit quiet which Made us think we made a mistake with our choice. We quickly changed our minds. We were greeted by an incredibly charming server who was enthusiastic about every detail of the menu. He explained some of the pasta is made on site and everything was very fresh. We ordered a pizza to start. It was a margarita and it was flavourful with a thin crust. Next came the caprese salad that could have served 2 easily, the cheese was fresh and gorgeous. Next was the pasta which had a sauce so authentically Italian that one of the girls who is Italian couldn’t stop raving. There are a ton of Italian restaurants in our city of Toronto and not many can capture the heart of a good red sauce. La Caverna nailed it! The cap of the meal was the perfect expresso. We were asked if we needed a cab back to our hotel and when told our cab had arrived, it was our exceptional server who chauffeured us home. On our ride back we learned the chef is a woman from the Philippines who studied under an Italian chef in Dubai! We want to give her and this warm team a big thank you for an experience that went beyond our expectations. This place should be packed every night!

    Owner Francesc and entire staff was extremely attentive . Calamari appetizer was excellent with a lighter breading than you get at most restaurants and the sauce had some subtle heat to it as well. Pastas are freshly made each day. Wine list was very fair in pricing and had great selections to pair with the exquisite food. Dessert also wonderful with not too sweet key lime pie that also had a unique texture and not all all heavy. My wife and son also had the tiramisu which was a great finish to the best meal we had while on the island this week. Worth the trip from town and half the cost of other Italian places on the island. Definitely try this quiet gem. From a foodie from New York who knows his Italian food.
