They were welcoming, gracious, and accommodating. Food was stellar, and thankfully, we were not in a hurry so we’re able to enjoy each other’s company while waiting for the sushi orders.

Went to Kyoto for valentines. We had a reservation and we’re promptly seated but that’s where the promptness ended. Our waitress made sure to tell us she was new, no big deal, everyone is new at one point. We ordered drinks, which took about 10 mins to arrive. While waiting for drinks, our waitress was profusely apologizing to a table of teens for their food not being ready and promised it was coming soon. Additionally, another table didn’t have plates to eat an app because they were out of plates…then we got our drinks and placed our order. We had a bad feeling as our waitress flipped thru multiple pages in her order book before finding a place to write our order. We watched her run away from our table (there was lots of running - not sure why) and didn’t see her enter our order for at least 10 mins. About 20 mins after ordering, our waitress went to the table that asked for plates and asked them if they had ordered edemame, which they did not. Luckily, it was for the table of teens and they were able to get nourishment before the restaurant turned into Lord of the Flies. The waitress again profusely apologized to the teens for the delay. A couple minutes later, the waitress ran to us and asked if we ordered gyoza, which we did not. It’s now been about 45 mins and the “plate table” got their food, although possibly the wrong rolls. The table behind us who walked in after we were seated have received their rolls, and a new table was seated next to us where we were able to hear our waitress describe herself as “weird” and hear her yell out “hell yea “ when a patron enjoyed a drink. Now it’s been about 50 mins in and we’re asked what we ordered. About 10 mins later the food started to trickle out. We finished our rolls and left before the teen table ever received their food. I hope the teens were able to make it school on time the next day, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re still at their table waiting for their sushi to arrive. Get organized Kyoto.

Make sure you’re checking your bank account, they charge an extra $20 on my card , I will like to hear them why I was a second charge for something I didn’t sign it for . I am sure I will never go again. Used to love that place and them food, last Monday was a fiasco

The server was very helpful in choosing sake and considering dietary restrictions. The meal was fantastic, with dishes being brought out separately to let us enjoy each one before more was brought.
