   Great table side experience. Fun for the whole family, but nice enough for a date. Great service, great food, and reasonable prices. Will definitely go again.

   It was a fun night. We celebrated our son’s birthday. Enjoyed our chef and all the staff. Everyone was very attentive. Great service for sure.

   The service at Kyoto was absolutely fantastic from the gal (didn’t get her name) who took our orders, took pictures, checked on us, and paid special attention to our birthday boy (10). Tok (our chef) was phenomenal as well! Very friendly, good with the kids we had with us, and great sense of humor. Food was great, although prices have gone up (as they have everywhere).

   We wanted a festive place for my husband's birthday dinner and Kyoto was perfect. The food, the mood, and the service were great!

   The food is always fantastic and the people are amazing. I was just surprised that they didn’t have some of the items we all loved so much. No more tempura vegetables for appetizers. And we were wanting to enjoy the cake for the birthday celebration at the end but we were told that we only had 20 more minutes because another party was coming in. I was surprised to hear that. I was never “rushed “ before and it just seemed to annoy me a little bit. But, it still is not going to stop us from going back. We will just plan accordingly. We really enjoyed everything else. We did have the cake for dessert!

   Our party of 6 had little wait before being seated. The service was superb. Drinks were refilled often and checks to see how we were doing were timely enough to clear a course’s dishes and not interrupt the hibachi show. The hibachi chef has been here for here for years and a professional. Multiple generations have enjoyed his enthusiasm and joy for years. Would highly recommend for high quality food, entertainment and service.

   This is a beloved Boise celebration restaurant. Staff were very nice. Food was fine. Cleanliness could be better which is apparent looking at floor which needed a sweep. Not all the diners are expert chopstick users as seen by the large amount of food left on the floor. If you frequently eat authentic Japanese food then do not come here. It’s not that type of restaurant. The rice was long grain. The tempura came with a gloopy ketchupy sauce. The salad had croutons on it. If you know, then you know.

   This was our first time eating here and we were extremely happy with everything. Even our 6 year old son said it gets the highest points! That’s his way of rating how he likes something. We ordered filet mignon, lobster and NY steak all with fried rice. Everything was delicious. Our server was very friendly and patient and made the experience comfortable for everyone. Highly recommend!!

    We have been to Kyoto several times and usually have excellent service and food. This time was below average.
