At Ko Japanese Dining, we specialize in Kaiseki, a culinary art form originating from the elaborate tea ceremonies of Kyoto. Kaiseki showcases the chef's skill in crafting a meticulously balanced and seasonally inspired multi-course meal, highlighting the essence of Japanese cuisine.

    One of the best restaurants in the DMV area. Ko serves authentic Japanese cuisine and the service is excellent. A must go for anyone who wishes to experience delicious food accompanied by the incredible courteous Japanese customer service. The interior is quite spacious and quiet, ideal for fostering conversations. Great place to have business meetings.

    Japanese food we had ordered was fresh and delish! The tempura veges was crunchy and flavorful, not heavily battered. Service staff were welcoming and attentive. Great place to have Japanese food and highly recommend if eating around DuPont Circle-Washington DC.

    Delicious sushi - best I’ve tasted. Friendly, helpful staff & delightful owner. Made to feel very welcome. We had an early evening slot & it was very quiet … can’t believe this will last for long when the word gets out!

    This is special spot - Mickey the owner is very gracious and the food is authentically Japanese but comes in American size portions. A simple dining room with great service.

    We absolutely love this place! The best traditional Japanese in the DC area. Don’t miss the tempura and agedashi tofu!

    My only issue with KO is portion size and presentation. One would more likely find very large food portions in a place where very large people go to pig out, not in a fine dining restaurant. Nevertheless, the food flavors were there and the service was very accommodating. Being Japanese, I am expecting the food to be artfully presented. Not like places where a protein and three are just plopped on a plate.

    We loved the authentic Japanese food as well as the street scenes in Tokyo on the wall. Can’t wait to try the full Kaseki experience.

    Very authentic restaurant with good food. Seems like it's a new restaurant. I'd definitely go back again!
