   have been visiting Kilo for years as its always been a gem, however have seen a decline over the last 6months. where has all the flavour gone? smaller portions (same price) and lack of ideas it seems.

   Food was good in general.. sadly the ink rice was not as good as the one we tried in Kilo bali where flavours were bursting and well incorporated with a generous serving of squid.

   We have been to Kilo Bali many times since it opened 4 years ago and most recently last week. We have always been impressed with Kilo Bali and thought that Kilo Kerang in Singapore would be the same level of ambience, cleanliness and food quality ...it definitely isn’t! The building access downstairs was a mess with open top garbage tins and smelly discarded fruit and cigarette buts. Total turn off and we should have taken note and got back in the cab and left then. The actual restaurant we found to be substandard compared to what we were expecting. Glass table top kept lifting on on side if you leant on it (poor strut design); dead plants on floor behind us, kitchen appeared very messy ie missing tiles, cooks wiping their sweaty heads with their hands etc etc. Food was a disappointment, deep fried and not restaurant standard presentation. This Kilo Kelang is nothing like the quality and ambience of Bali Kilo. We won’t be back!

   I've been to Kilo a handful of times, and although their menus have changed over time, the food is great. It's a very lively place and depending on your seating the music can be quite loud. If you're going to catch up with a friend or a place that you'd like to have a conversation this may be a little difficult. However, would definitely recommend visiting. The food is great, not over complicated, and honestly can appeal to a wide audience. They have a comfortable range of cocktails and spirits available. Bear in mind if you're keen for a beer, there's only Sapporo on tap! It's a great place to dine, and if you want more drinks you can head down to the bar on the first floor. Overall a great hangout spot that serves great food.

   Cocktails we ordered came after 2 dishes were served. Drinks were disappointing - The New Fashioned was just bitter (from the orange peel) and my Rosemary Gimlet was mediocre at best. The Long crisps that came with the Korean Beef Tartare were a little thick and hard. Umami potatoes were just fried potatoes. Couldn't taste any truffle in the little butter provided. The tacos that wrapped the Beef Tongue was dry and not even warm, as if it was just slapped on. The only thing that was good was the spicy lamb dish. At least the bread that came with it was lovely and warm, and the lamb was fork-tender and had a nice spiciness to it. We were expecting a lot more from Kilo Kallang since we've heard glowing reviews over the years. Skipped dessert and went for real cocktails after.

   It was my second visit to Kilo Kallang. Decide to return with the same group of friends because of the well balanced fusion food we had the last round. However, this time round, we found the food and drinks not as good as the last round. For instance the ceviche was a lil more to the sour side of our taste buds. Nonetheless, good atmosphere for a weekend get together w friends!

   Interesting menu and sharing plates. Different ambience - a little out of the way but nice getaway from the City. Service prompt and helpful.

   Food was good but portions were small with an expensive price tag. Restaurant had a nice ambience but a little too noisy and it's not the most accessible place to get to. Good experience but don't think that there will be a next time.

    The ambience is great and the food is a unique fusion of Western and Asian influence of cooking. The staff is professional and friendly as well.
