Just completing its second year on the dining scene in Telluride, Kazahana offers classic Japanese cuisine prepared by Chef Naoki Takahashi and his team. Sourcing the freshest seafoods from around the world, the menu includes nigiri, sashimi, sushi rolls, chirashi, tartar and ceviche, as well as a selection of salads and hot entrees. Beverage options include Japanese-inspired craft cocktails, a large selection of Japanese whiskeys, beer, and a top notch selection of sake and wine. The 10-seat Omakase Bar features an 18-course chef's choice tasting menu with optional sake and wine pairings. Kazahana offers a popular happy hour 5-6pm with half-price sushi menu and $10 drinks, limited seating, first come first serve.

Omakase at Kazahana is an elegant and formal dining experience served in a beautiful space. Chef Naoki Takahashi will prepare 18+ courses using the finest seasonal ingredients available in the world. Omakase literally translates to "I leave it up to the Chef", so diners will not need place an order. Cocktails, fine wine and sake are available from your server at additional cost. Wine and Sake pairings designed by Beverage Director Colin O'Neill are also available. Reservations are available anytime from 5pm to 830pm for up to 6 guests. Omakase dining with Chef Nao will be an unforgettable dining experience.

Great service. We were happy to leave 25% tip. I would have left more if I was a wealthy person. The food was phenomenal, the vibe was cool, the server was super friendly and was able to spend a little more time with us to answer our questions and entertain out curiosity regarding food questions and other items. Off season in the mountains. The locals were out. A lot of the staff engaged with us, not just our server. We felt welcomed and were honored to eat here. Highly recommended everything especially the dessert box.

We sat at the sushi bar and had a great experience. The sushi was amazing, and was prepared quickly despite there being a couple of large groups ordering lots of sushi. If you’re unfamiliar with the menu don’t worry you won’t be disappointed, everything they prepare is very good.

Amazing as always. One of the best sushi / Japanese restaurants in the United States. Beautiful setting, great food and service. Always consistently excellent.

Great food. Great wait staff. Would have been 5stars across the board but…….i ordered sashimi and nigiri and it came it in approx 20 minutes, perfectly acceptable. My wife ordered 2 rolls. After nearly an hour I finally asked if they had lost our roll order. Our waitress explained they were “slammed” in that part of the prep. After another 15minutes the rolls were brought out 10 minutes apart. Frankly ruined an otherwise great meal/night out.

Good food but bad experience. We got our entree first and appetizer last. Completely out of order. We were never asked if we wanted another drink after our wine glasses were empty for half our meal. It took us over 30min to get someone to pay our bill.
