   Wonderful healthy, fresh food.. Buzzing atmosphere.. Good value and service. We are going to try some of the excellent sounding lunch deals very soon as we have only ever had dinner here.. Both times we have come away happy.. Fresh flavours and delicious wine!!

   Kayal is consistently wonderful. The menu is varied and authentically south Indian, the portions are generous and very reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly. The vegetable stew with appam is great for a comforting meal, the paneer dishes are delicious, and there are some wonderful desserts. If you're really hungry or want to experience a whole range of flavours in one meal then the sadya (thali) is a three course banquet.

   This restaurant was recommended to me by my Hairdresser so I took a friend along for her birthday. What a fantastic evening we had because the food and the staff were amazing. The food is authentic and not your usual coloured sauces as is typical in many restaurants catering for the English pallet. Since, visiting I have recommended this restaurant to about 15 people - if you love Indian food, this is the place. I will be introducing this restaurant to all my friends and family.

   After dining here a couple of weeks ago and having a fantastic meal, I decided to take some friends. I don't know why but the meal was very disappointing and after booking on line, my reservation was messed up and there was not a table ready for my guests. I will go back at some stage and hopefully won't be disappointed again

   We have worn out all of the local restaurants in Guildford so decided to venture a little further. Kayal ranked highly on trip advisor so tried it out. Super menu. Super food. Well presented. Will return.

    Lovely meal. It's a shame they don't have nan breads for sale and their poori's prathas etc are very expensive. The food is delicious and the portions are healthy. South Indian food is general hotter in spice so be sure to speak to the waiter is you want a milder dish. We ordered Pooris with out mains instead of rice and they were covered in oil which was a shame as normally the excess oil is taken off. We will definitely return to this restaurant.
