   This was our first visit to Kasumi. A friend had recommended it to us. The ambiance was exceptional. We had a reservation and seated within 10 minutes of arrival. Our reservation was to be outside, however, no tables were yet available so we chose the indoor dining area just adjacent to the patio seating area. Our server, Christian, greeted us shortly after being seated. He was very thorough in explaining the menu, pointed our serveral popular choices in each catelgory, since it was our first visit. We each had a glass of the Sancerre which was very nice. Our appetizer was the Wagyu Beef Gyoza which was outstanding. I ordered the Shrimp Tempura Maki Roll and my husband had the Spicy Tuna Aburi Maki roll. Both were great with just the right amount of spiciness. We split the Cheesecake for dessert. It was a fairly small portion , however, delicious as well. We were very impressed with Kasumi. Only downside was an upset stomach I experienced overnight - I had read the same issue in another review. My husband did not have any issues. We will definitely go back - worth it to have a little Pepto Bismol on hand

   The atmosphere is beautiful. The food is absolutely horrible and overpriced. The miso cod tasted like a piece of fish with no seasoning. Never tasted any miso flavoring. I’ve had several miso cods and this was a joke. The fried rice tasted like freezer burn. I’ve had better fried rice from Trader Joe’s. The stone crab hand roll was horrible and difficult to eat. Will never eat here again.

   My guest ordered the spicy tuna roll. It was a total disappointment. Everything else was a 10. The cod was perfect. Great service. I Love Kasumi

   Upon arrival, I was promptly seated, and my server, Maya, was an absolute delight. I started with the miso soup, ginger salad, and hamachi crudo—all fresh and flavorful. Next, I enjoyed the salmon belly and golden eye snapper nigiri, followed by the soft shell crab hand roll and the miso black cod, each dish beautifully prepared and delicious. Unfortunately, the experience ended on a slightly sour note when the snow crab hand roll contained a piece of shell that cracked my date’s tooth. Despite that mishap, the overall experience was excellent, with great food and attentive service.
