This was the perfect place for a group of 8 friends getting together for dinner and drinks on a Friday night. The vibe inside is a chill relaxed environment and our server, Judith, was a pro. She recommended good dishes and drinks and took great care of us all night. Menu is mostly small plates combining recipes from Russia, Eastern Europe and Asia, but everything we tasted was excellent.

Surprised that such a small restaurant could have it all: excellent authentic Russian food (don't miss the blinis or the baby dumplings or the pressed chicken), homemade cakes (and try the pudding), and interesting infused vodkas and mixed cocktails (try the refreshing cucumber vodka and soda) -- all served by friendly staff who make you feel like part of the family. And there's lovely live music that doesn't make you shout or burst your eardrums. We'll be back soon!

Moscow 57 has it all: a bustling, unpretentious "scene" (a mixture of older European expats, young LES hipsters, artists of every stripe, canoodling couples and raucous groups); a chic yet casual, deliberately "shabby" atmosphere which recalls an artistic "salon" from another era; superb live musical performances; wonderful hosts in the form of owners Ellen and Seth; and above all, EXCELLENT food. Most venues with live entertainment skimp on the quality of their cuisine; not so Moscow 57, where nearly everything on the extensive menu is superb. This is not the place for a "quiet" night out, but it's a guaranteed good time.

I go for the food but stay for the music. Oh wait, I go for the music and stay for the food!. And, that is why Moscow 57 is so great. They have it all! Plus, they treat everyone with such care. Everyone is made to feel special. This place is great fun. They also seem to have this sixth sense about what music to play, I brought two friends there for the first time and somehow the band managed to play their favorite songs. Who would guess that you could hear Samba at a place called Moscow 57? And, according to my friend, superb Samba. Love, love this place!

Moscow 57 is an unexpected little gem right off the Williamsburg bridge in the LES. The food can best be described as Russian home cooking - with savory stews and side dishes that will leave you wanting more. With live music (and the musicians obviously enjoying themselves as much as everyone else), it makes for a great time!!

This restaurant is small, so reservations are highly recommended. Different performers every half hour which is great. Jazz, 20s, old Russian songs - it's a lot of fun. Food is good too. Highly recommend and will return.

The staff was so welcoming and friendly. They made sure we had everything we needed and I was part of a table of 15. Their infused vodkas were also amazing (I got the strawberry but they have other cool flavors, too). Definitely recommend for big groups. The live music is fun and the waitresses perform too. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend!

They were overbooked, we were never seated. We waited standing up shoulder to shoulder with other guests for 30 min after our reservation, then got fed up and left.

Felt like walking into a party. A rare find in NY where every table is its own little world. It was great fun to listen to the musicians and performers and actually meet people! Super friendly and accommodating staff. Food is OK but a good value.
