Since 1972, Kanki has been the Triangle’s favorite Japanese steakhouse and sushi house.

Our flagship location at Crabtree Valley Mall is also our most widely recognized. Visit our Japanese restaurant in Raleigh for expertly prepared hibachi fare, sushi, noodle dishes and much more. Our Crabtree location also serves up hibachi meals and appetizers at our bar for extended hours after lunch.

Chef was good. Service was good. Steak was tougher than it should have been. Another patron at our table talked loudly on her cellphone (on speakerphone!) throughout the meal.

As always, the food at Kanki Crabtree didn’t disappoint. Delicious, speedy, and entertaining. Our cook did a phenomenal job “reading the room” and knowing his audience and did not do certain acts that others would have done just bcs that’s what they’re known for. It was a great time!

Zero atmosphere. More like a cafeteria. Understaffed. Half of cocktail orders were mismatch or unavailable. Chef was amiable and capable. Everyone felt rushed. Bills arrived before food was served. Won’t be back.

Took two young children there for lunch and a “show”. Our chef did nothing!l but, cook the food like he was in the back of the house with nobody watching. Very unimpressed with the ambience and the “fun” aspect of it. The lunch was subpar. Could have purchased from any basic hibachi restaurant.

The food was great but the service was awful. The server had to be tracked down each time drink refills were needed. We were there for a birthday for a child and one woman finally came out to sing, alone. It feels like you are being pushed through a factory and not a nice dining experience.
