   Another great experience! I was super impressed that the cook said he remembered me for my love of their deviled eggs. I didn’t even see him. That is exceptional service in the background. Oh… and I really think you all need to rethink not having the patio open in the summer… I look forward to sitting outside when it gets warm😊

   Made reservation for a booth, but none were available. Service is Great Christy is an excellent server. Very busy evening, but Waitress was up to the challenge. Food was served Hot and tasty.

   Easter ham dinner special was poor. Our food initially arrived not cold but tepid, not warm at all. We sent it back and it then arrived on a hot plate but the food was still not as warm as one would think coming right out of the kitchen. Ham, scalloped potatoes and cornbread were all dry and overcooked. The glazed carrots were good. Bread pudding dessert that came in a mini cast iron skillet was so cool you could hold the skillet in your hands. We chose this restaurant for the Easter Dinner special and were very disappointed.

   Food was excellent but the service was slow and it took us about half an hour to get our dinner. They were not that busy so it was a little disappointing.

   A slow start with over 15 min at table before someone came to give us water and forgot lemon for water which I ended up getting myself since it took so long for them to come back. Waitress has a couple of big tables and she could have used some help to at least get water and acknowledge our presence. Once things slowed down it was great. Has a live guitar/singer who was really good. Overall great experience and food was great

   Food was good great portions and flavor only issue not all food was hot on delivery.

   We have dined here for about 4 years now about 2x a month. We have never experienced feeling so unwelcome like we did this evening. Our reservation was at 630, we arrived at 6:16. Yes we were a little early, but we headed in as sometimes there is a line to be seated and we figured early was better than late. The darker haired woman that was at the front was very rude to us at first, she even claimed she could not find our reservation at first. I insisted it was there and she said “OH, it’s at 630 that’s why…” then she said we needed to come back closer to our reservation time. So my husband asked when would that be, right at 630, 5 mins before or when would she like us to come back? She continued to repeat at our reservation time. So we stood there for 14 mins until we were seated. Once inside we looked around and there were many, many empty tables. I don’t understand why we weren’t offered to go in to the bar or sat down and simply told that our waiter would be with us shortly. This has never been an issue before. But be 10 mins late and it’s a whole fiasco. We really would have left tonight had our card not been on file for the reservation. We both ordered filets, which were lukewarm when we got it. Even the mashed potatoes were warmer than the steaks. I don’t know the whole dinner was very mediocre for $100+. Our waitress was ok even tho I ordered a salad with no olives and still got a salad with olives and she also forgot to bring refills but hey whatever, mistakes happen. Kankakee used to be a special place to go, with amazing waiters and food to match. This is the 3rd time lately we’ve gone and the foods been cold so sadly after tonight we won’t be back. So fair warning- be on time to the very exact minute or expect to be turned away with attitude

   Food was excellent, fillet and bbq ribs. Great selection of draft beers. Sit at the bar in Holly’s section, great service and she will remember you the next time. Appetizers are very good.
