Celebrated my birthday and the unfortunate soon to be closing of Kaiwa. I will miss the wonderful staff who always gave great service. Waikiki is losing a Japanese cuisine staple when they close this month. Thanks for the wonderful memories and good food.

I heard Kaiwa gonna close end of this month so me& my son went to eat last time. Service was very good but food was ok. Wafuu humberger was disappointing . Taste was not good, also so small more vege than meat. Spicy tuna sushi& spicy hamachi sushi we’re not spicy not at all. But service was very good. Every waiter, waitress gave us very good service. Well hopefully they open different place near future.

We were about 10 mins late for a 9:30 reservations. The server who greed us almost didn't seat us. I told him that I had made a reservation and was sorry that we were late. He looked irritated and told us that the kitchen was about to close and we had to order fast and everything including drinks was last call. We rushed to order and hurried through dinner and still were not the last customers to leave. It was not an enjoyable experience. The restaurants website States that they are open until 10:30. When I mentioned that's to the server he said " we are open until 10:30 but the final seating is at 9:45'. I pointed out that it was only 9:40 when he seated us so there was still plenty of time according to there own website and policy. I would not recommend this place as the food,drink and tired looking decor, not to mention terrible attitude of the server did not warrant the high prices

Absolutely awesome! Great food, great service...thanks to Joe and outstanding waiter. Unfortunately they close on 30 JUN. Go before its too late, you'll regret it if you don't.
