   Wowowow, what a treat. We decided to check out the "Chit, Chaat & Chai" Afternoon Tea at the Kahani Restaurant inside the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point. We were not disappointed. As a matter of fact, we were completely wowed by the presentation, service, and most importantly the delicious taste of all the treats served. We each tried the different types of teas, and Chef Sanjay Rawat did a wonderful job accommodating our dietary needs (one gluten-free, one vegetarian and one regular). We were offered a sparkling beverage as we informed the restaurant ahead of time that we were celebrating our daughter's college admission acceptance. The sandwiches were all tasty, perfect in size with balanced flavors and seasoned perfectly. Kahani is beautifully decorated and cozy. Besides the food, I'd like to point out their service. Our server Christian was warm and professional, highly knowledgeable about our menu and offered unobtrusive service. She was fabulous. Savory sandwiches, scones, and sweets were all equally delicious. It was a party in our mouths! Highly recommend so bring yourself, families and friends for a real treat!

   An absolutely beautiful experience- we went for a birthday celebration and had the curry sampler, the more traditional Indian option, and it was delicious. The staff could not have been nicer, more gracious and attentive, and the ambience was very special. We live close by and it is nice to see that the hotel has put in such a wonderful dining option. The decor is beautifully done, feels luxurious but intimate, a world unto itself within the larger hotel.

   What a lovely authentic experience and food quality and atmosphere was off the charts amazing. We really were surprised at how well done the whole meal was.

   This is a great place for dinner. Panak and Garret were a courteous team taking care of our family. They introduced us to a special Indian street food appetizer. Enjoy!

   This was our first time at Kahani and we had a wonderful time. We went there as date and the restaurant was very quiet and perfect to enjoy a nice time together. The food was amazing and waiters very reliable when we asked about dishes and their specificities. It was delicious and we would most likely go back.

   We had such an amazing experience. The cocktails were great, the food was incredible and the service was phenomenal. We enjoyed being able to order a meal that included five dishes plus a protein. This gave us the opportunity to try multiple things. We really loved it all.

    Nearly all the food was excellent. Chaat starter was great and of a size and richness should be shared. Curry sampler was also really good with a lot of excellent choices: saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, dal tadka, and another chicken and shrimp curry. Service was very good, we had a team of two excellent waiters during the course of the meal. The only negatives was that the roast chicken was over salted. Also they left two tables next to us covered with rice and spilled food for a good half hour during our meal. This was rather unsightly for a high end restaurant in a high end hotel.
