   WE only speak English and menu was in English but not very descriptive in the translation. Food good but the sides under the piled food was cold versus hot. I had asked for no sauces but they still put sauces on the side touching the food and cold food under my fish. I would have preferred the food unstacked and not contaminated by the stuff I did not want. Another person was served raw fish when she had expected it to be cooked, third person calamari was the worst he had ever had mostly breading no take to the actual food.

   One of the only places in Reykjavik willing to take a last-minute Valentines Day reservation. When we went there the service was a little slow and I think they were probably understaffed, but still very friendly and helpful. Probably the best lamb I've ever had (the "Viking steak") and quite good beer. Absolutely wonderful food, decent value "for Reykjavik" which means still too expensive for what you'd pay elsewhere. One cautionary note: my partner has an egg intolerance and while we were assured nothing had egg in it, they still came down with a reaction that made our last couple of days in Iceland. So be careful if you have any sensitivities.

   While the location and ambience was really good and was backed up wi excellent service... the fish and chips arrived with very little in the plate. What was there was poorly prepared. The batter on the fish was mushy and the chips were al-dente. The salad was also limp like it has been heat for a time.

   Really happy with the easy and quick booking-a-table-process, atmosphere within the restaurant area, service and quality of the food! Great value too! Will definitely recommend!
