   This is my 3rd time coming & it was horrible. I would suggest coming in the morning. We went around 4/5pm on Sunday. When I tell you everything was not good. The chicken was nor cooked all the way, the yams tasted like canned yams & not done, my cornbread came out late after eating food & it was not cooked all the way or too hot. The cornbread was doughy & broken for $5. Completely disappointing for $140 for 3 people.

   I truly enjoyed my experience at this awesome establishment. My only critique would be, we were encouraged to make reservations. However No one was at the door to check that reservation or seat us. This is definitely something so small. We went to the bar and inquired and the beautiful bar staff person told us where to sit. I will definitely return on my next visit💚

   I like Jordyns soul cafe, though they were a little slow Sunday. This was more so the wait staff, because the food came out in a decent time frame. We didn't get our water until the food came and we waited a few minutes for our plastic utensils after our food had come. My niece never got her side of mac and cheese (we just canceled it) after the guy said it was coming out. Not to mention the mac and cheese didn't appear to be baked and it wasn't as cheesy as before when I was there. Otherwise, the oxtails, porkchops, candied yams, pot roast empanadas and fried green tomatoes were delicious.

   Hello, the service was not good at all. We were not greeted at the door. Some of the food came out cold and the waiter had an attitude as he took our order. We didn’t recieve knives to go with our steak and the lamb chop portions were very small.

   On March 22, myself along with nine other people attended the establishment for my wife’s birthday and I must say I will not be returning. Our reservations were for 10:15PM. We were not seated until 10:45 PM. Our space was not ready. We had to wait in the middle of the floor, which we were in the way of the waiters and the servers going back-and-forth to doing their job members of our party did not receive their food. Drinks were spilt. There was false advertisement as far as BYOB  members of our parties were rushed and drinking their drinks from their flights ordered, which by the way was not a complete flight because we were brought different glasses and asked were we done with the glasses so they can wash them out and present them to a different party the food was fair was fair but rushed we were giving discount but you couldn’t tell yeah never again Jordyn!

   The place is really small. If you are looking to be don’t. You will walk back to the bar, be told a number to sit at with menu at the table. They do bring you silverware the is wrap. I’m not sure how I ended up with a fork and butter knife and my friend ended up with a fork and a steak knife. The food was okay but not worth the price. I had the cat fish with sweet potatoes and French fries. The cat fish was sitting in oil on my plate no really seasoned, the sweet potatoes were too sweet for me personally, but I could see people enjoying the sweet potatoes, and the fries were super seasoned but too soggy. I also had a mango lemonade which was okay, no free refills on any drinks. The service was decent definitely could be improved. I didn’t like that they took forever for the food and drinks but were quick to make us leave. As soon as we got the bill we were ask to leave in some many words. The server Chris stated “I’m sorry but we do have another reservation “. Like gezzzzz lol it was almost like we were walk ins, we also made a reservation. Also if you want some extra gravy for $2 it will be in the smallest cup you ever seen.

    Jordyn’s Soul Cafe is small, but mighty. The food is delicious and seasoned well. I ordered the smothered pork chops which were juicy, tender and enormous! You get 2 chops and I couldn’t finish 1. My guy ordered the Jordyn’s Special of ribeye and lobster tail, and was very pleased. We shared an order of fried green tomatoes that were very tasty and topped the evening off with a shared dessert of peach cobbler with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream; it was decadent! The service is a little slow, but the vibe is great with a good music in the background. The place is not cheap, but you get hearty portions, and it’s definitely in my opinion worth it. We will definitely return; I hope to eventually taste the elusive side of dressing.
